I did end up pre ordering singles for my green Gohan deck, I didn’t get any of the SRs just the more normal cards for about $1 each and they already shipped, so I think it comes down to which cards you’re looking to get.
$1 for CU is pretty nuts. If you mean just the Rares then maybe that price is fine

I got mine two months ago for $80-ish per box. Already pre-orders FBO2 boxes for $80 and 2 Starter Decks 05 for $12 each.
