I’m going to be playing in the fusion world pre release where each player picks 1 of the 4 starter decks to play. I’m new to db and would like to pick the best deck to try and win would deck and leader from the starter decks would you recommend? Also love the videos I’m learning a lot!
Hey, welcome to Fusion World! :D For the pre-release tournament I highly recommend Frieza. It has the most consistent engine and the most powerful leader effect. My second choice would be Vegeta, but we've had a starter deck event in LA last month and Frieza did exceptionally well! :) Glad to hear that the videos are helping you out :D
Seeing these does make me think just how much red and green can deal with in many matchups, especially green who seems to be able to deal with almost anything even itself
Yea green is without a doubt the best color in set 1. There's very, very little that other colors can do to stop green decks because, like Frieza, all other colors are balanced towards fighting 4-5 cost or less, and green just plays 5+ cost Battle Cards and goes around your entire engine
Hi, next week i have a prerelease of this game and we play only with structure deck. Which structure deck would you reccomend me? I think this Frieza is the best but i dont know
Hey there! I fully recommend Frieza, it is the best equipped deck to deal with the other three in a 1 deck meta. All of your cards on average provide more value than cards from other decks + you have a way to rest opponent's blockers which is super valuable. Over the next three days we'll publish guides for Broly and Goku and then make one more for the pre-release event where I'll go a bit deeper into the details of the 1 deck meta! :D
say you use the boss frieza to lock a card (against blue trunks decks) and they recall the locked card back to hand, does the locked card stay locked in their hand?
No it isn't but that card has to be 3 or less to bounce it, and most likely, with boss Frieza, you are locking a 4+ card most of the time as the prime target
I had the Pre-Release Event Today and watched this video to be prepared. Went 2nd hrhr. Only thing that i was confused: Ginyu is no part of the Frieza Starter Deck? :/
Hey, congrats on getting 2nd place! 💪 I'm happy to hear that the video helped you out! 😄 Ginyu is not a part of the deck, a lot of cards from the decklist aren't as the list is an upgraded version (so if you want to play this leader with all of the cards from Fusion World, the list is a good starting point). However, all info up to the list is viable for learning how to play the deck! 😄
Usually, decks come with only 2 copies of the SRs (King Cold and Frieza in this case) so if you want 4 copies of all cards you need to buy two decks. That is standard Bandai practice, they never give you 4 copies of everything in a deck. I think that buying 2x is a good idea, especially 'cause you get deck codes for the digital version too, so there is a lot of value there! :)
I really liked Frieza in the beta, I want to explore him more with the full set. After testing Gohan & Trunks, I’d agree they will be a massive problem for Frieza right now.
I can't wait to try out Frieza a bit more when the digital client is out! Green really feels bad, hopefully yellow get some tools in set 2 to help it out just a bit! :)

My other deck I plan to buy is this Frieza, to have it fight Vegeta, that match up is very interesting every time.

It doesn't stay locked but you will be locking 4+ costs with the boss monster anyway so Trunk's effect won't matter in the end! :)

100% Impossible as a F2P compared to Master duel.
Oh yes, completely impossible as F2P. Granted, the guide came out month before the digital client did
