Legends moment
I loved that they fleshed out Count Dooku’s character. It makes episode 2&3 a bit better.
His book did a great job of that as well. Loved these episodes.

5:05 It's satisfying and crazy to hear Dooku say this because Qui-Gon said the exact same words to Obi-Wan in The Phatom Mence! Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! 💪
It took 11 minutes to flesh out Dooku and his mentality. 11 minutes. Filoni is a master storyteller. Relating to Dooku is something I never thought possible. But his three episodes REALLY showed how much he was right and the Council was wrong or just unwilling to think outside the box. I could watch a whole series on Dooku after this.
It was his son Micheál Richardson who gave the voice to young Qui-Gon.
Count Dooku force choking that guy and yielding a light saber at the same time - epic……
I never in my life thought I would’ve sided with Count Dooku and yet here I am, wondering if he may have been right.
From a certain point of view
I'm a big fan of dooku, he was ALWAYS RIGHT ... from the very beginning but with the high council not backing him up or believing in him because they were lost in power that they were sitting on. got dooku corrupted because of sidous using his power to get the best of him and in the end he fell due to his efforts and obsessions

The soldiers of the senator are dressed similarly to the guards in Arcane. That's why Jaby got the feel of Arcane
Cannot wait for you guys to react to the 4th episode. It's just hits on so many different levels.
The entire point of The Separatists in the prequels is that they are tired of being part of The Republic and the MANY corrupt politicians who benefit off of people just like this. And in the end, that same Republic will turn into the Empire, sort of making the Separatists the first Rebels.
Too bad they fell in line behind the very mega corporations that were the source of the Senate’s corruption.
“The bureaucrats whose job is to regulate us and keep us in check from abusing you are on our take - so you should just get rid of them and let us be completely unregulated instead!”
This story though makes me think Dooku intentionally created an enemy to the Republic that embodied the very corruption he wanted to get rid of, because of course that was his and Palpatine’s plan. Be empowered to eliminate the corruptive influence of the corps and the Senators on their payroll. Unfortunately…

I think that Dooku waited to choke the senator after the senator ordered the attack because of the Jedi only attacking in self defense mandate.
The soldiers uniforms are what I think of first when you mention Arcane.
In a strange way the woman who ratted them out reminded me of the bartender that sold out Vi for shimmer in Arcane. The town was also run down so it was reminiscent of the Undercity.
Hands down! My favorite episode of Tales of the Jedi!
I've always felt that the Jedi were the catalyst of the Sith.

I think it’s reasonable to side with Dooku at this time.
The Jedi were only defending themselves and the Senator made no attempt to negotiate his son’s release when the hostage takers 1) did not harm him, 2) released him to the Jedi immediately and 3) wanted to voice previous appeals to the lawmaker. The Senator choose violence against his citizens and the Jedi themselves instead of listening.
That’s more evil than this version of Dooku and his temptation towards the dark side.
This setting reminded me of Ireland during the great famine, the clothes, the architecture and the land with no food being grown with British overlords not caring at all for their suffering
Even though we only catch a bit of the soundtrack the music in the stand off is the best piece of music in the entire franchise. It's called "soldiers are here" if you want to go and find it.

I thought it was really cool. Although I've been watching too much Andor because I feel like it needed an hour and a half of introductory slow burn showing us all about the different characters that would be dying...
No I don’t think it would have saved more lives if Dooku had gone through with it - it would have started a civil war on the planet. Instead Qui Gon’s choice opened a possibility for positive political change there without mass bloodshed.

No he should not have done that. Force choke is illegal and is a gateway to the darkside it should not be an option to resolve the situation.
