- For todays video I will walk you through my process of sorting my pencils in to a color order and then creating my swatch chart.
The pencil set is the 120 square barreled brutfuner set.

Thankfully the squares were easier than most, im working on the starjoy 120 i was gifted and there are so many peach and orange with strange colored barrels. My order is yellow, orange, peach, red, pink, purple, blue (since there are always blue purples) blue-greens, green, brown, grey, black. I used to put browns after red, so reddish browns had a better place and skintones were around the same area as the pinks/peaches, then purples since i always mix purple and/ or blues in skin as well. I may go back to that type of order.
I find it really interesting how different people like to order their pencil sets.... Everyone has such a unique way 😊

This is a really useful video,it's good to see your process. It was also satisfying not seeing a single pencil roll as you placed it down... I liked the tip of writing the number in the tray for ease when replacing the pencils,very efficient and organised,I like the way your mind works. Thanks for sharing.

I just got the Ruby Charms swatch book so I'm trying to finally swatch all my sets.
I ve heard good things about the swatch book... Ppl seem to like it
@@emmacolours2020 I love the pre-made charts. There are a few baffling choices like no page numbers when there is an index with page numbers and some, IMO, some weirdness with the blank charts at the back but the pros outweigh the cons for me
I didn't know that about the page numbers... That is kind of strange lol
I am a total (older Scottish) newbie, so I was very pleased to find your video. I only have the 72 set, which, I think, will be enough for me. I don't want to be too overwhelmed with colour choice. Thank you for taking the time to do this :o)

Just received this set of pencils and thank you very much for this utube video and explanation. Try to keep all my sets in color order and those are the ones I use (not that I am a big collector but do like trying the different brands and oil type)

I bought a set of the square 120 a few days ago 6/28/2021 and they offered a coupon. So they are available again. They are very nice. Thanks for the video ☺️ I need to do this with a different set of wax based pencils.

Got my pencils from Amazon and was thrilled to see your video! Loved the tip about marking the numbers in the bottom! Did you use uni-ball signo white? (Want to be sure it doesn’t smear and is permanent.) Your timing was perfect for sorting and numbering as I was able to get the task done as you demonstrated. I’ve never swatched and was dreading it. Thank you for making it easy!
Hi hun...so pleased it helped you I know a lot of people really find it stressful to start swatching and ordering pencils....I used a signo white gel pen for the trays...when marking my pencil cases i tend to use a black sharpie
The Lindsay Weirich , the Frugal Crafter, did a recent video on these pencils & she said she waited months to get them because Amazon had always run out of them as soon as they got them in. I was gonna buy the 160 set but the 180 set had a 15% off coupon so I got them for $32.29 and FREE same-day shipping. I ordered them at 7 a.m. & got them by 5:30 pm. AliExpress charges $10-$20 more & shipping could take up to 2 months, if their new combined shipping doesn't send multiple combined orders to the WRONG ADDRESS & mismanagement morons adjudicate the dispute invalid for the most ridiculous reasons. Lindsay's 120-set didn't have color names so I was thrilled when my 180 set had them. I spent 5 hours making a list of the names & numbers. I haven't colored anything since I was about 8 years old, so I have a lot to learn. Hopefully, knowing how to sort them will reduce my feelings of being overwhelmed about all those colors.

I believe you can still find them in the source: AliExpress and Alibaba. You should check out Pamela’s Passion for Pencils group in FB, there’s a chart with the translated names from Chinese. Although I’m not sure if it is for this set or the round set...
Yes the chart is for the square barrelled set.... Unfortunately I am not on Facebook.... But yes they have handily translated them all which is lovely

Once I’ve organized my pencils in a very similar way you just did, I also label them with little number stickers so they always stay organized 🥰

As i have arthritis in hands Would you suggest brutfuner 180 or prisma 150 due to their ease of use ??
i am so sorry hun...this comment only just came up in my list...i think the prismas being so soft would be really helpful if your hands hurt
You told that you have the 180 set also so are there really different shades after 120 or some are repeated??
They are just so similar that it doesn't really need to have the bigger set.... Very close shades

These are the older version.... So they are very infrequently coming back in stock.... But its not something that is easy to get hold of any more

The big 180 set that I have is awesome quality... I don't have the newer version in the 160 only the old and they are awesome but don't work well on amazon paper whereas the newer 180 set does

Actually there is alot of stock of them on China famous shopping platform ‘ TaoBao’ and it is stated as new release. I jus received this set today and paid around 17USD.
