Nobody is perfect but this brother seems to be doing a lot of the right thing. He actually wants to do the right thing. I can only imagine what she is going through with her health issues but she may also need to reach out for other types emotional support outside her relationship so that it doesn't all fall to him. Maurice dont feel like the weight of all her problems fall on you, dont feel blamed for everything. Listen and understand. Most women just want him to listen w/o trying to fix. Lakita be direct w what you want and refrain anger. Anger makes him reluctant to express himself and views. When you want him to just listen say like Baby I would love it if I could share w you then carry on. She is big but that doesn't mean she isn't taking care of herself. I also have Lupus and i know that the medications often times make your weight fluctuate based on the steroid mg's. She deserves love non theless. Let us all ask for her healing physically and emotionally.

I think ultimately if it's real love then we do all we can do get the counseling get another perspective and and sometimes it means not having babies in the missive crisis after crisis she stacked up more things on her on her table and wants him to help her relieve it the bottom line is that don't get pregnant don't have a baby when your sickness is such that it will add to the cost it doesn't make sense to me Common Sense kicks in don't have babies while you dealing with sickness you not going to have enough time to raise your kids and then be in a relationship as well

He seems like a good guy, but he is goofy with that mess. Why expect a thank you for doing your job? 16 hours is a very long day, but you have more days to recover. Like, it's not that deep.
i love the truly happy endings on this show. so rare on this show, makes it worth continuing to watch. i tell ya earlier this season i gave up on this show and stopped watching for a few weeks because it seemed like the producers were just bringin ANYBODY on the show, and most were either way too ghetto, stupid or downright impossibly boring. this was a nice episode.
I will say that after my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer I sort of went numb I didn't feel anything ever since that day I've been working CERN just everyone else first before myself I think different man handle the possibility of a loved one dying differently maybe he stays away so much because he knows that he won't be able to handle it if she passes away how do you think he needs to be around more and treasure the memories they make I do feel like she's a little too much are times but I do understand it I pray for both of them to find peace and know that God is with you
Maurice gets my Man of the Year Award for 4 years! He loves his woman unconditionally. He works 16 hr days, eats dinner and spends time with the family, asks about their day--converses with the family, and takes care of the financial needs of the family! What am I missing? I TOTALLY agree with Maurice that Lakiya is NOT seeing and appreciating what is right there PRESENT in her face. This man is there. He is not running. He has done all he can to let his woman know that he is there for her, but she is missing it. In my opinion she has given up on life. She is in a major battle dealing with health issues--lupus, breast cancer and a tumor in her head. She needs a bigger support system--family, friends, support group(s), counseling, spiritual guidance, etc. She is sucking the life out of her man without saying thank you or I appreciate. She said that he encourages and appreciates her, but I still didn't hear her appreciate him. She needs to surround herself with people that have a positive outlook on life. People who love life and will help her love and enjoy life as long as she is alive. This man is a powerful man but I would love for them to be a powerful couple. He seems like a sweetheart to me.... He has a job, actually goes to it, makes good cash, seems to be dedicated to her and she still had an issue all because he's being a guy about things. My dad would peace out after dinner and my mom never complained because after work he's tired. Maybe it's a generational thing, my parents were both in the 60's.
I have RA.. I'm so blessed to have a husband who is so supportive! He is an active participant in my treatment and understands that I cannot always keep up with housework. This guy needs to man up and support his sick wife!
A good couple who have it going on for the most part. Wow and he is working 16 hours. I hope her sister and her mother can come over and help out sometime so hubby won't have to do so much and then he can be rested and spend more time loving on the wife. She is blessed to have him take care of all the bills. I will pray for them as one of the comments stated.

+Jerry Washington The medication from the cancer and the lupus cause you to bloat and gain weight. This may be an issue that she really cannot all the way control at the moment. She is big but that doesn't mean she isn't taking care of herself. I also have Lupus and i know that the medications often times make your weight fluctuate based on the steroid mg's. She deserves love non theless. Let us all ask for her healing physically and emotionally.

I think ultimately if it's real love then we do all we can do get the counseling get another perspective and and sometimes it means not having babies in the missive crisis after crisis she stacked up more things on her on her table and wants him to help her relieve it the bottom line is that don't get pregnant don't have a baby when your sickness is such that it will add to the cost it doesn't make sense to me Common Sense kicks in don't have babies while you dealing with sickness you not going to have enough time to raise your kids and then be in a relationship as well

i love the truly happy endings on this show. so rare on this show, makes it worth continuing to watch. i tell ya earlier this season i gave up on this show and stopped watching for a few weeks because it seemed like the producers were just bringin ANYBODY on the show, and most were either way too ghetto, stupid or downright impossibly boring. this was a nice episode.
I will say that after my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer I sort of went numb I didn't feel anything ever since that day I've been working CERN just everyone else first before myself I think different man handle the possibility of a loved one dying differently maybe he stays away so much because he knows that he won't be able to handle it if she passes away how do you think he needs to be around more and treasure the memories they make I do feel like she's a little too much are times but I do understand it I pray for both of them to find peace and know that God is with you

Maurice gets my Man of the Year Award for 4 years! He loves his woman unconditionally. He works 16 hr days, eats dinner and spends time with the family, asks about their day--converses with the family, and takes care of the financial needs of the family! What am I missing? I TOTALLY agree with Maurice that Lakiya is NOT seeing and appreciating what is right there PRESENT in her face. This man is there. He is not running. He has done all he can to let his woman know that he is there for her, but she is missing it. In my opinion she has given up on life. She is in a major battle dealing with health issues--lupus, breast cancer and a tumor in her head. She needs a bigger support system--family, friends, support group(s), counseling, spiritual guidance, etc. She is sucking the life out of her man without saying thank you or I appreciate. She said that he encourages and appreciates her, but I still didn't hear her appreciate him. She needs to surround herself with people that have a positive outlook on life. People who love life and will help her love and enjoy life as long as she is alive. This man is a powerful man but I would love for them to be a powerful couple. God knows your beginning and your end, and your end is not until He says so. Lakiya live life until He does! And please love on and appreciate your man. Please!!!

My dad would peace out after dinner and my mom never complained because after work he's tired. Maybe it's a generational thing, my parents were both in the 60's.

A good couple who have it going on for the most part. Wow and he is working 16 hours. I hope her sister and her mother can come over and help out sometime so hubby won't have to do so much and then he can be rested and spend more time loving on the wife. She is blessed to have him take care of all the bills. I will pray for them as one of the comments stated.

Unfortunately most ppl do think that having a job and bringing money in is all i need to do. If they both live on their own it is much easier to see how much tome u do spend together. He said he works 16hrs a day. If thats true he would not spend much time with her if u are always at work. The biggest problem is too many ppl depend on others for their happiness. U have to be happy within urself first always. Others enhance ur happiness but they cant be responsible for it completely. Thats a personal problem.
