This is completely off topic..but you guys really need to trim back the trees ALOT at the corner of the garage and on the other side of the house also at the corner.. you need to keep air flow between the trees and the house and should never let your trees literally touch the house
When I was able to dumpster dive I cannot right now had to have open heart surgery this year before I'd ride my bicycle up to five and below in the Dollar Tree and they always had stuff in a bag and a bag to keep the bad stuff away from the good stuff that was in the bag so I found a lot of stuff like that I love absolutely want watching you you two seem like you get along so good for a young couple we always be like this never go to bed after a fight angry and always say I love you because you never know when you could be taken away
Not sure but the black things that you think are planters might be risers to put under each corner of your bed. It allows you room to put access things under your bed.
My buddy has these to keep the bed up from the floor once had bed bugs .l see why you find in college clean out Keep Rocking 🤙 the good stuff 👍 Beautiful people 🤗
People should be ashamed at how much they waste. They could donate so much. We hate throwing anything away and we recycle anything that can be. Thank you for saving as much as you can.
True but not everyone have the space in vehicles to take it and donate it cuz most people come from different states or hours away and only have one vehicle to pack everything and they can’t go back and forth
I live here in Utah and I used to work at a donation store for 4 years and we couldn't accept Perfume (Open or brand new) makeup new or old lotions body sprays new or used. I have found so much of that in college Dorm dumpsters here in Utah
Since many of those students may not appreciate the cost of things…they don’t have to work or work hard to pay the bills…yet….for now they’re just lazy and it easier for them to just pitch it. This could change when they get older and they have to spend their money for household stuff…and a mortgage….and a car/car repairs….their children’s needs…and this….and that….watch your money fly away…💸💸💸

Oh good point! I was in a dorm one year with silverfish and rats. Thankfully, it was before bedbugs were a huge deal, so nothing came home with me, but yuk!

We used to go dumpster diving when the college students left town every summer. We found the best "pickins" in the alleys in neighborhoods where lots of students live. Not only were the dumpsters full, they were also surrounded by discarded furniture that wouldn't fit inside. You could easily furnish an entire house by dumpster diving.
So many things that you are finding in these dumpsters and now others can use them again!!! When you came back home, the birds were all singing their little hearts out! It was lovely to hear! Kelly, you and Alex are doing such a wonderful service for the community with giving back by donating to the animal shelters and food pantries. Having garage sales to offer low cost items to the neighborhood. I love watching all your videos!!! And the bonus now, is we get to see your cute kitty, Bones!!! 😻
Many are flying out to different countries and can't take these things with them. College campuses need to have a donation area and teach these students about shelter's or second hand. This isn't the students being spoiled. They have no other option.

They save a ton of stuff and help lots of people... Instead of criticizing maybe you can do your part... We ALL have an obligation to make our world better for our children and their children in the future... It's easy to sit behind a screen and say what someone else should or shouldn't do... Be well...

When I went to the university of Hawaii, my mom flew in and totally decorated my off campus apartment. She spent a fortune. Even getting me a latex mattress. I also bought a bunch of great stuff while attending school. I had a home gym and the best kitchen appliances. At the end of the 4 years, I graduated and went back to California. I gave away or threw away everything because it was too expensive to ship home. My neighbors loved taking it all. Kids don’t think about the cost of stuff. I should have at least tried to sell it.
What would really be good is if the colleges had a room or dorms not occupied during the summer where students could take their unwanted stuff, so that next fall any students who needed things could go claim them for their dorm. This would save so much money and waste, and it would help students who can't afford a lot.
You might want to keep an eye out for random wood pieces that you can make your own cat tower out of. With all those carpet pieces you can just cut and staple once you've built your tower. Even putting together random pieces of furniture works.
I remember moving me daughter out of Albany state. I almost completely furnished her apartment- mirrors, lamps table, chairs, pots and pans, an almost new propane grill, I didn't go for the couches or futons- so much unopened food that coulda/shoulda been donated. A few years later, the Same thing at Temple- the kids should be involved , fraternity, etc. To make donations happen!
Fun video !!! ☺️ It will be nice if the college would suggest to the kids in a letter/email, when they leave, to donate any extra food to the local food pantry. I don't understand why they don't do that. Can you imagine how many parents have helped these kids and if they saw these videos, to see items and food just being trashed ?
I can see the students feel they have time left before the end of the semester then all of the sudden there is only time to study for exams then quick exam week takes up every minute and the rest of their brain power then there is so much pressure to get out of there and get home to the summer job or get out because the dorms are closing for the summer. If u fly home or carpool you really only take so much....and probably don't have a car there to drive to food pantry or Goodwill. Just a flawed system with flawed timing and lots to clear out before you leave. . Some schools will work with non profits to help get extras from kids into usable hands but seems like this school just really puts out the big dumpsters. The waste is sad to see but the diving is fun.
Kelly and Alex, you both are my heroes, I personally am so proud of both of you that you have such a strong desire to make the earth better. I live in Malibu California and I live a half a block from Pepperdine university and about 49% of the condominium complex that I live in is students so I have access to an amazing dumpster right here, but I’m 66 years old I can’t jump in the dumpster and they don’t separate the food and the dog poop bags from all of the recyclables furniture, bedding, and I’m sort of a germ, a phobia since Covid. So watching you guys, I live vicariously through you too. Keep up the good work you both are special special people.

The black flex pipe in the dumpster where you found the one and only charger cord could be donated to a animal shelter. The kitten would love running through the pipe tunnel. Bones could probably use it to. The iron CD holder would be a cute nick- nack shelf get some wood or glass shelves cut for it.
I wish I could still get out and dumpster dive but the last fall got me messed up, so watching yall helps me not be so depressed so thank you both so much❤😊
Another great video! If you go back to the low dumpster where you got the hangers, there appears to be a collapsible plastic saw horse under the flat piece of cardboard. If there's one, maybe there's two and if so, they are super handy.
My son studied in the States for a year and he had to leave everything behind before he flew home. This reminds me of what he must have done.❤️ great job❤️🏴❤️🏴❤️

Such great finds this time also. It's good you donate in your community because you should and the animals in shelters really need stuff. Also with homeless never ending giving away the food you find is very helpful. Homeless people need other things also like personal care products, clothing,shoes,tents and other things so keep that in mind when donating also please. You might want to turn the containers that you’re storing outside upside down. That way the rain doesn’t collect and give mosquitoes a place to lay larvae/eggs and then hatch.
Watching with my granddaughter, I told her that looks like my old dorm in NTSU (can tell when I went there by that name..lol), then they showed the Pit and I knew it was. I loved having rich roommates in college, they just dumped all the stuff at the end of the term. Glad you are saving this stuff from going to the dump.

Idea - you could repurpose the wrought iron CD holder to a potted plant holder/display. You’d have to find perhaps some tiles that you could slip in there to use as little shelves Just a thought. ❤
Soak stained ‘white’ clothes in a bucket of water and vinegar.(It did wonders for cloth diapers; so it should work on other ‘white’ clothing.) Love the shelving for sorting and storage. BOLO for Crown Royal Bags; as the bags can be used for Wildlife Rescue; especially when the furry that needs a Wildlife Rehabber is used to living in a pouch. My Friend is a Rehabber; so I try to look for her.

Our local college has a place where everything can be donated, then volunteers have a huge sale. All proceeds go to the womens shelter.

The black metal shelves could be used to store ramen. I saw someone who had used one of the black metal wave ones for that and it looked really cool.

I love seeing your garage so organized. I always wondered if you washed the rugs and blankets. Thanks for letting us know. I wish that I could dumpster dive. Because we have a hugh college here too. I do ride around on trash day and have found "new" items.
at 13:33 There's a scotsman Ice dispenser that's worth $5800. The parts alone were probly worth it.

Such great finds this time also. It's good you donate in your community because you should and the animals in shelters really need stuff. Also with homeless never ending giving away the food you find is very helpful. Homeless people need other things also like personal care products, clothing,shoes,tents and other things so keep that in mind when donating also please. Have a blessed day and keep doing what you guys are doing, it shows love ❤️ and kindness, compassion, sharing and caring. The Lord sees people like you and likes what you are doing to help others and the earth. 🙏☺️

You might want to turn the containers that you’re storing outside upside down. That way the rain doesn’t collect and give mosquitoes a place to lay larvae/eggs and then hatch.

Watching with my granddaughter, I told her that looks like my old dorm in NTSU (can tell when I went there by that name..lol), then they showed the Pit and I knew it was. I loved having rich roommates in college, they just dumped all the stuff at the end of the term. Glad you are saving this stuff from going to the dump.

Idea - you could repurpose the wrought iron CD holder to a potted plant holder/display. You’d have to find perhaps some tiles that you could slip in there to use as little shelves Just a thought. ❤
Soak stained ‘white’ clothes in a bucket of water and vinegar.(It did wonders for cloth diapers; so it should work on other ‘white’ clothing.)
Love the shelving for sorting and storage.
BOLO for Crown Royal Bags; as the bags can be used for Wildlife Rescue; especially when the furry that needs a Wildlife Rehabber is used to living in a pouch.
My Friend is a Rehabber; so I try to look for her.

Love this hunt! One things for sure, your keeping goods from ending in the landfill, and if you make some money reselling, all the better. You earned it. I wish I had someone to go pickin’ with. I’ve gone myself once, but not entirely comfortable doing it. It would be more fun with a pal!
