- It's impossible to calculate the impact that Antwuan Dixon's 'Baker 3' part had on skating in 2005. Over the following 15 years, Dixon learned that skating may even be his greatest tool for coping with adversity. In this interview we catch up with the man who has his eyes on the prize-now more than ever.

Miss this foo. I loved hearing his enthusiasm when saying "I'm going to school!" Love that. Dope he's into health by being a trainer. Keep ya head up. I remember I sent him a postcard when he was jail. The picture had to do with the endangered species of sea birds, the least tern. I wrote, "one day you'll be free to fly like this bird."

He was born for this this is what he was put on this earth to do. This is his sole purpose. The guy kickflipped his first day skating and baker 3 was shot between his first 2-4 years of skating he got boards from baker after only skating for 2 years think about that.

Antwuan and TK were my favorite skaters growing up. I was 14 then, and I am now 29, this man was and still is an inspiration to me 💯
Side note: I just got a brand new deck a little over a month ago and had a little sesh for the first time in over 10 years. Shit is MAD refreshing! To anyone out there thinking about picking up a board again, my advice to you is just DO IT! ✌️

I put Antwuan in my top 10 skaters of all time. I feel like some people are afraid to give this guy credit where credit is due. His tricks may never be super flashy, but they're almost always straight bolts. Every trick he does, no matter how simple, looks like there's a lot of meaning to it. I feel the impact of every trick he lands and feel like I'm almost just as happy as he is just because he made it. Simple, clean, meaningful, legenday.

You got it bro! I don't know if it's just alcohol, or what it is, but I can tell you I was already an alcoholic before I was involved in major car accident. Causing me to have numerous very bad herniated discs, numerous very bad spine fractures, in numerous different places and even having floating fragments of my spine all the way over touching my hip bone, by the time I got to the hospital.
I wound up having a multilevel (6 level spinal fusion) anterior disc-fusion. A back surgery done through an 11" incision in my abdomen (leaving me with 184 internal stitches and 67 external staples), leaving me with multiple donor bones and multiple CT cages both filled with real bone material from a separate surgery where they scraped bone material from my hips and also BMP-2 (fake bone material), titanium wire internal fixation for stabilization of injury of the cervical spine, a large titanium plate that goes up 7 levels of my spine with 14 titanium screws.
I say all that to say that after being diagnosed 140mg of oxycodone a day and 6-8mg of Xanex, I very fast got addicted to opiates and Benzos, on top as my alcohol. I never thought I could honesty and openly say that I was addicted to opiates or benzos, however, life happens.
I just want to shout out anyone that's fighting addiction, against any substance! May God pour out blessings upon y'all and your families, in abundance!!!!!!!

I know how u feel man.My mom passed and my life was already struggling and then that sent it over the edge.Have been trying to get back on the board but still plagued by past injuries so have to build myself back up psychically before I can really get back to skating and clearing my head.Cheers to the journey brother.

I remember meeting your mom and your aunt being our 2nd grade teacher. How time flies and we meet again in high school at Carson high. I never knew this side of you or about the skating until recently one of my soldiers showed me a clip of you on a skateboard. When I went through some shit and made a comeback my skating was never the same. But that's the difference between someone so gifted at skating and someone maybe not. Obvs hard work goes a long way too.
