That compression test was hilarious, Alex's car was definitely higher due to the cylinders having oil in them, most likely caused by bluetooth rings and valve stem seals Also things I never thought i'd hear on youtube whilst watching car stuff - 'Alex the ketchup's on fire' Absolute gold, Taylor is the best!
Loved doing the water pump and timing kit on these, really easy just took about a week waiting for parts as mine was the early M20 engine that uses different ancillaries
I love how chilled Taylor is in these episodes. Taylor is very much like a father in this, let me set the scene and explain. Taylor arrives to the garage on a sunny Sunday morning while the family are still asleep. It's been a 90 hour week at graft and he finally has a minute to himself. Birds tweet, hot tea in hand he opens the garage door to be greeted by the headlights of his BMW. Febi lol. I’ve used them for decades but they have got progressively worse! Even back in the early 2000’s, my E30 rear mounts failed as the Koni damper went straight through… If you get a chance, pick a proper OEM like Lemforder over them. I’ve had aux belt tensioners that are Dayco when you open the box (great) and have had good results with their coated brake discs and pads so that’s all great. But, I’ve also heard of M54 CCV kits not fitting correctly….and I’ve had an M54 lower radiator hose which was totally ill fitting. Buy carefully and you cant go wrong.
