    Outstanding video. I am an Alaskan Bushmen myself and I have worked in the Northern Arctic of Alaska for a number o f years love the cold weather over tropics .

      Thank you! Not much colder than northern Alaska!

    Would you be able to do a video on the layer system for the lower body for a range of temperatures?
    Wonderful video by the way

    Have you also considered Western Mountaineering Flight pants? They seem to be warmer so I was curious to know why not those.

      I'd love to try them - haven't seen them in stores.

    ❄️Great review 👍🏼 didn’t realize how tough it might be getting through all those layers if you really needed to go🥺

      That's a major consideration!

    Any recommendations for something similar, but in down?

    • @ALinsdau
      @ALinsdau  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only the big body suits have down that I'm familiar with but there's new product all the time.

    Thanks for this informative video. It has been two years since but I'd like to ask if I may a question.
    Also there is another Mountain Hardware's insulated pants, not synthetic but down, Ghost Whisperer pants 800 fills. Which one would be better? Thanks.

    • @ALinsdau
      @ALinsdau  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perhaps - I'd like synthetic insulation for the pants.

    Im late to the party, good review. How familiar with the Firefall 2 insulated pant by Mountain Hardwear? I'm deciding between the 2. Doing a 5 mile backpacking/snow shoe 3 day hike with my sons Boy Scout Troop in the Western Sierras (5,800 feet or so elevation). Thanks

      @ALinsdau  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, I haven't seen the Firefall 2 pants. I hope the hike went well.

    Have you ever had to layer two of these pants to get warm enough while in Antarctica or Alaska? Seems like layering double would be the neede warm for Canada winters

    • @ALinsdau
      @ALinsdau  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet - that'd be super cold.

    What was the other pant that you said people use? Some alternative to the MH Compressor?

    • @ALinsdau
      @ALinsdau  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes

      @@ALinsdau Hey, sorry, what was the alternative to the compressor?

    great review. Just what I was looking for.
    Recommendation for future videos: no need to be so zoomed in. It helps when focusing in on particular features, but for the duration of the review it is a bit frustrating.
    Thanks again

      No worries - good to note. It's a bit tough running the camera and trying to do the review at the same time. :)

    I keep seeing these recommended as the best warmest pants and THEY DON'T SELL THEM IN WOMEN'S. Why, mountain hardware? WHy??

      I've noticed that, too.
