President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with the Filipino community at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia.
With over 6,000 Filipinos who gathered to welcome him on the first day of his State Visit to Cambodia, the President greeted the crowd with enthusiasm and even sang a duet with a Filipina performer before proudly introducing the members of his Cabinet who joined him on his trip.
In his message, the President reported that the Philippines is currently in the process of change, assuring them that the government is doing its very best to give the people a clean and honest service. He also reiterated that the war on drugs will be a hard and expensive operation on the part of the government, from prevention down to the rehabilitation process.
“Sa ngayon wala akong magawa. Next year, marami na akong magagawa kasi may budget na tayo,” President Duterte said, following his plan to rehabilitate the victims of drug abuse in the Philippines.
After the event, the President and the members of his delegation posed for a photo oppportunity with the members of the Filipino community.
