I feel like the creep optimizations and tricks are cool now but they will get standardized and everyone will be doing the same thing once we figure out the numbers. I've never liked how you can abuse creep targetting (bob repair) and I feel like the biggest difference between a top player and a high level player will be these 1-2s you can shave off of builds. This is why, it doesn't matter how they implement it, creep will never be enjoyable for me.
I mean, it's the same thing in sc2 - catz talks about how soO would always get his hatch down 1-2s faster because of superior drone splitting. Bigger issue with creeps is map splitting for a creeping phase - and that is something that's solved with creep placement, not whether we have creeps or not
Some issues still of course, but I never expected the game to be balanced on EA release, or even looking forward (remember how bad Zerg was at the start of WoL?). It's going to be interesting to see how new units impact the balance whenever they get added
@@laureloneiros1500 You don’t say Zerg is unbalanced because Serral wins too much. It’s all about race and unit interactions and is someone winning because they are better or because their race is just stronger.
checked steam charts today and there are 76 ppl playing this game right now (I imagine half of those players are the dev team). Game is dead, and it sucked during its short life.
Is ppl still playing this crap? why? game is not even finished xD. Map is not even balanced, Theory is closer to speed camps in map 1 and luminite producer ccamps (p4g(2x2) symmetry can not be balanced. They really need to re think their maps
People play this game cause it's fun, much more fun to me than sc2 ladder currently. Non symetric spawns are part of frostgiant playing with balance and everybody already let them know maps have to be double symetrical for that. They decided future maps will have less camps, but positioned in places which encourage more player interaction anyway.
I'll say why I am: It's fun, and while there are issues here and there, its still a good game. Plus, the late game can look and feel really fun to play and watch, it's just that the early game isn't as fun to play/watch, which is what most people start watching/playing, then get bored of and stop watching/playing and write stormgate off as a bad game.

Age 2 is the RTS game with the most active players acutally.
