Prefacing this by saying that I have no idea how to fully type out actual pronunciating denotation, so I’ll just be using typed out “word correlates” that are similar to how they would sound in portions.
A somewhat easy way to pronounce squirrel is to not really worry about pronouncing the “rel” part and thinking about it as:
“squ” (like the first syllable for squash)
and “earl” (how you would say irk but you replace the K with an L).
If you would want to pronounce the “rel”, you can pass enough by just slightly saying the back part of “earl” for a bit longer or think of it as:
“squer” (squirm without the m)
and “el” (the letter L).
‘Hope this helps in one way or another, so good luck with learning the “fun” intricacies of the English language, coming from a monolingual, lol.
