- I'm a huge fan of using tools to help me become even more productive. My whiteboard is definitely one of the most impactful tools I've used to increase my productivity and help me crush my goals, build new habits and stay on track with my weekly tasks.
So, in this video, I'm going to break down the magic that is my whiteboard and give you an inside look of how I'm using it daily in order to build towards the life and business of my dreams.

Whiteboard Sections
1. Quarterly Goals (3 or 4)
2. Monthly Goals (3 or 4)
3. Habit Tracker
4. Purpose/vision, directs all your goals
5. Weekly To-Do's (Multiple columns for different categories, with sticky notes)
6. Done section (Collect completed tasks here, feels good)

I literally searched for this help and I’m shocked someone knows that somebody may be needing this at some point! ❤️ I’m too indecisive to choose whether I should make it as a daily tracker, a todo list, a reminder board when in fact, I can actually make all of these in one board by sectioning. I didnt think of that 😂 thank you! 🙏🏻

Don't know how I got here 2020 through this "rona mess"; but I am so glad the Universe got me here. Thank you, this video has helped me get totally focused on what I must and need to do daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly. You helped me identify my most important priorities and tasks. The habit tracker is a brand new idea for me and perfect timing as I'm intentionally incorporating some new things in my daily routine!
Very cool. I wrote out my notes to duplicate your areas but realized that changing the headings would work better for me. I make full and new moon intentions each month and will be incorporating those as well. I think it is probably still worthwhile to include quarterly goals. Still a work in progress. Thanks again!

I love you! this is EXACTLY what I was looking for - I keep thinking I needed a visual board, but this is more realistic for me! I bought a whiteboard and was sitting in front of it thinking how I was to set it up and you've pretty much outlined it for me :)
So glad to hear you’re digging the structure! Here is a tip I did with my new whiteboard after recording this video. Go on Amazon and order pin striping tape. It’s really thin tape and inexpensive. I used that to create the lines for all the boxes. That way they don’t get erased easily.

Just starting out with using a white board since using an agenda(planner) proved to work when I went back to college. I wanted to figure out the best way to use it and this has given me a lot of ideas which will inspire what I ultimately do! Thanks.

A column I use i the “weekly quote” column. I find a quote that I resonate with and everytime I look up it gives me a that great reminder.

Love love LOVE my whiteboard. We all use it for various planning task or just working out ideas. And it was CRITICAL in the college application process with my kids...what a huge project management test that was....great idea on keeping the stickies for later reference. Thanks Kevin!

Working on this myself and stumbled on your video. This is the best structure I could find on organizing a personal whiteboard! Just a quick tip, you would be better off incorporating some shots of your whiteboard in its entirety, especially when it's completed. Many people will be wanting to copy your structure (like myself) and you could make it a lot easier by having a shot of the completed version, it'll also make your videos more visually engaging.
You can put this on your whiteboard for next week perhaps :)

I also tweaked my slightly from yours to include a section for Future Habits I want to develop but don't want to overload or overwhelm until other habits become more second nature (if at all). Another tiny change was that I bought a few different colours of post-it notes so I could organize colours into which takes priority from a visual standpoint. Pink = Priority, Yellow = Important, Green = Medium and Blue = Optional or Free Time bonus!

I actually recently had an idea of getting a small whiteboard for my desk for a similar reason - the visibility! I'd just put down the daily goals, reminders, and so on, that I could really benefit from having in my sight at all times. For whatever reason, smaller whiteboards are not as common in Sweden and there are very few stores that sell those :O
I noticed that you have all your post-it notes in the same color. Is that intentional or haven't you thought about using different colors, maybe for different kinds of tasks or for ones that have been carried over from the last week?
Adrian thanks for watching Adrian! The whiteboard I have is the perfect size. Not to big. Not to small. I got it on Amazon.
I did consider using different color stickies but I’m a huge fan of consistency, so I stuck with blue.
I also, considered using a different color for the tasks that get carried over but didn’t want to create additional work (or waste) drawing up a new sticky.

Great video. I was a little confused because you shows a very small whiteboard at the beginning but then you were explaining the process with a much larger board. By the way, at 6:34...if a task keeps getting moved from week to week, perhaps it needs to be broken doen into smaller tasks.

How does the habit tracker work does one dot equals one day
I've got a giant whiteboard with big vision and business organization stuff on it and then I have a smaller board like yours that has my year goals and monthly goals on it. Then I've been using an app on my phone called MinimaList to track my weekly and daily tasks, very similar to your sticky notes but on the phone. I think you would like the app, it's super simple, black and white and clean, check it out. P.S. Just let four ads play through all the way on your video! ;)

Hey Keaton! I actually have an updated video on my magic whiteboard that goes into more detail. But the habit tracker helps me mark down each time I’m able successfully do the habit I’m trying to create or break. The visual representation helps.

Great question. Largely with my calendar. All my weekly to-do sticky notes get added to my calendar for the week so there is dedicated time to knock them out.
