I have never travelled and do not have a Passport but my son is well travelled and went to Phuket and fell in love with the beautiful people and the Elephants. He also loves the amazing buildings. I sometimes wear the T-shirt he bought back with the Elephant retirement park logo. To travel is to broaden the mind and feel the love of the people around you. Both of you Dev and Shev are beautiful people and would make great role models for how to travel with humility and immerse yourselves into local culture. So surprised that the guide taught you the correct word(Chai-yo) of cheers in Thai. Many foreigners say chon-kaew which is correct but actually is for drinks only because chon = to hit, kaew = glasses.
