@123-NORTH-STREET I hope for Wolves to win more games after the international break, starting with Fulham, even if I am not happy with the current manager. The biggest problem is the ownership - Fosun - and its commercially-driven ambitions. They don't care about the soul of the club, i.e. the supporters. We are not fairweather fans, we stick with Wolves through the highs and lows, through thick and thin. We've been in a world of hurt for far too long and yesterday was a wonderful respite. Having Neves share our euphoria was also special. The only reason Fsun have not sacked O'Neil after the ludicrous run of results is because they don't want to pay him off. Even worse, even if they sack him, I have a sinking feeling that they will go for the next cheap option. It's a case of catch-22 with them.
Great to get a clean sheet and 3 points . First half felt we were way ro passive , better in the second half , feel we have turned a corner against city , nice to be unbeaten in a couple of games ..fingers crossed it continues now going forward. All the best dave
What a player Matheus Cunha is. The world is his oyster with the right guidance. Given Wolves' predicament and performances, hos positivity is contagious. I would have liked to see him given the captaincy. I suppose the number 10 shirt was consolation. GON GONE please
Positives: Win - much needed 3 points Clean sheet - finally! The return of Ruben Neves 👑 Negatives: First half display after the goal was far too passive. Losing possession far too many times and not positive enough when we’ve got the ball (apart from the goals down to the brilliance of Cunha). Just feel against a more clinical team we would be in trouble again. Hopefully we can build on this.
Whew! We played no better, but finally won! And kept a clean sheet. Yay! Not a lot to say in that we were very lucky to be a goal ahead by half-time. Fortunately Southampton fell away rather in the second half and although we didn't do that much to improve our possession stats, we did at least fail to concede from a set piece. Nice to go into the international break off the bottom of the table! The result is a brilliant prelude to seeing the Bob Dylan gig at The Halls tomorrow evening! The killing frost is on the ground And the autumn leaves are gone I lit the torch, I looked to the east And I crossed the Rubicon dylanwolf in the billyQ
It wasn't overly convincing however it was an important win and lets be honest Southampton didn't really threten. Lets be honst Cunha is our starboy and at times carries this team by himself
Totally agree, Cunha, what a phenomenal player, we need to wrap him in cotton wool. Look, we could have played better, but a win is a win, at lastttttttt, wohooooo. We have some breathing space, let's kick on, we need at least 12/15 points before the New Year..... COYW Wandererssssssss... WANDERERSSSSS ⚽⚽⚽
Saints didn’t cause your keeper any worries at all. We are so toothless, if Wolves fans were really good great atmosphere. Your be fine this season you have far better players than us
Great result. Apart from that cut was garbage. We made them look like Brazil first half. He still needs to go, that is the only negative getting the win. Get Moyes or Potter in.
3 points doesnt change the fact Gary needs to go. First half was shocking, Southampton are the worst team in the league, any other side and today would have been a loss. Players must hate playing for Gary; every game just sitting back and running, no passing movement, no clever tactics, stone age football.
We've played a hell of a lot better than this - and got nothing from games! We were also very lucky with VAR today (which makes a lovely change). One swallow etc etc.........
still not overly confident southampton are poor i guess fosuns gamble on 3 teams being worse is probably gonna see us to safety pretty depressing hope club is sold soon
Dave, we ain't kicking on with him in charge - we all know it. If he's still there for Fulham then Fosun have cost us relegation. If this buys him more time then Fosun deserve what is coming.
The only trouble I see is Matthias he is far away our best player he is top class and the trouble is as we all know thousand always sell one player or two each year I hope in my heart they do not sell him well we are up s*** straight sorry to be negative
Great to have a win but only got it because of a dodgy VAR decision, poor refereeing and a moment of brilliance by Cunha, nothing as changed, same gameplay, substitute management and all the other issues we have had since last year. Happy to be able to celebrate today but it’s just no enough for me, we can do better 🫤
GON out still despite this oddity in 21 games a win
Crowd was energised by Neves..
Still delaying the inevitable.
But happy for the fans that we got our first win and clean sheet.
@Wolvesfan_DB how long to our next win 20 games

Good to see you smiling after a game again, Dave!
The defence still needs sorting out...big time

Cheers Dave, so nice to get our first 3 points..😊
Well done Wolves we needed that now it's upwards now.
Positives:

The board must use the international break to sack GON & get a decent manager in. Leave it much later and we will be heading down.
Dave , it looked a different game second half , we stepped on and pushed 5 yards up the pitch , 👍
And Ait Nouri was passing up the pitch 👍
Finally we scored first and we scored twice! Well done Wolves!
Great performance big three points for the Wolverhampton wanderers fc MOTM CUNHA
We’re on our way, but slowly. We will continue to pick up precious points but our confidence is still on the low side!

How did Guedes do when he came on? I didn’t see the match. How was his attitude
Second half was the first time I've seen us press high up the pitch aggressively. It rattled them big time and they couldn't get it out.
We've played a hell of a lot better than this - and got nothing from games! We were also very lucky with VAR today (which makes a lovely change). One swallow etc etc.........
GON OUT
Back to losing next after the break boys

If you're not overly confident cause Soton are poor, I hope you weren't overly negative when we got beat by top 6 earlier...

Gon out Moyes in
Lucky O'Neil agree out

Terrible performance. He's got to go Dave
Gully probably got a lob on thinking about putting together an analysis vid on Gary's patterns of play 😂
Gon staying for whatever reason. Ill support him and move on
