- Ruth Ambani is a mother of 4 who has lived in Kibera, Kenya for the last 20 years. She runs her own business, buying bags of charcoal and mixing that into a fuel brick for cooking and heating and selling them, making her between 1-5 USD a day which feeds her and her family. They rent a one room house made out of tin roofing material, they pay for electricity and water and have they have one bed. If you found this video interesting, please share it with a friend.

This is so sad. I can't watch anymore. Mad props to this woman for trying taking care of her kids to the best of her ability. And getting them a TV to provide some type of entertainment in their life can be the difference between sanity and insanity, life and death. A life with no joy can quickly become not worth living. May she create the life her and her children deserve.
PS A very wise woman said a woman who cannot control her fertility, cannot control her life. Seeing this woman struggle to support four children drives home that message to me.

The boy that they showed in the video who I assume is her son is old enough to help his mom and should to make more of what she makes. That would help her out a lot so that one day she will get her dream of retiring and living on the hill side.
They need to form a co op to get some sort of town planning. Family planning would be a good thing too . This lady has given birth to a lifetime of poverty.
