We've just been given an airfyer a few days ago as a gift. Wasn't sure if I need more gadgets to collect dust because I don't use a lot of the other gizmos I'd been given as gifts. But this is insanely awesome ! My 8-year-old daughter loves cooking with it and I showed her how to make crisps from different veg from our garden. She is so excited when we harvest things because she's already thinking what she will be putting in the airfryer for our next meal 😂 she is scrubbing the veg, chopping and she makes a whole meal for the 2 of us to share and it makes her feel like she is a big girl 😂 this helps kids learn independence, makes it so easy for them. We're going to try these apples next. So grateful you've done this upload 🙌 thank you ❤ sending lots of love from Latvia 🇱🇻 💖

Awesome! Yeah air fryers are a great kitchen gadget, and great for kids to learn cooking. I use mine all the time. Let me know how you like these apple chips once you try them.

What do you do to keep light weight items in place not flying around in fryer?

I just let them fly around. But if you have some sort of a metal grate you can set that on top of them

Another way I have seen someone else doing it is they would take their entire apple & slice 2 sides of their apple on their mandoline & then when they stopped slicing for safety, they just cut the leftover sides & just eat the leftover because it may be unsafe to slice the leftover sides up since you can’t use a guard on that & the apple gets very thin at that point & that is what I do.

    How long will they keep?

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt

They will only stay crispy for a day or two, but if stored in an airtight container at room temp they will last several weeks.

    Wat mode is it on

That air fryer doesn't have any modes. Just a temperature and timer. If you have an air fryer that has different modes, use the air fry mode.

Looks yum but I tried it in my Phillips Airfryer and the chips all flew up into the fan!! Yikes

You can try placing a small wire rack on them to keep them from flying around. Lots of air fryers have accessories like that.

It is hard to say without knowing what you did. When you say it doesn't turn out right what do you mean? How is it turning out?
