  • The Fuji x100v is all the rage right now and has been for a while. But does it still live up to the hype when you’re on the road? Does it lack anything significant that you might want or need from a camera when you’re traveling on vacation, with family during the holidays, or exploring a new city?
Here are 4 reasons the x100v could be the best travel camera.

Before you oversell the weather sealing, the rule of thumb is if you are getting soaked, so is your camera. It might not fail the first or second time, but it will fail.
Only flagship cameras like the canon 1dx or newer R3 can tout that all weather feature. Not even the canon R5 can make that claim.
    Definitely not the x100v.
Don’t forget the flash shoe, those are literally exposed electrical contacts.

The only complaint I have with the camera is the focusing. If I have it set to wide tracking, the subject that I want to be in focus is out of focus.

I should be receiving mine in 2024. I am hoping it's worth the wait.

I quite enjoyed holding the X100V when I got my hands on it! It feels like such a fun and solid camera to carry around. I went with the XT 30ii since I like shooting wider than the 35mm filed of view often. How do you find having a fixed lens when you shoot? Btw I create short films, I’ve just filmed a portrait of a young painter in Sweden, I’d greatly appreciate it if you stopped by, thank you! :)

You had me until you said the Sony RX100 & Ricoh GR cameras are made of plastic.
Great video though. I’m going to keep my eye out for the future X100vi when it releases.

The GR is not plastic. Lol. I have the x100v and the GRii and GRiii. All are great but I prefer the 28mm focal length. Also the Leica glass is much sharper on the GR line. The focusing is just NOT there on the x100v either.

Invece per un uso professionale, per reportage (volendo viaggiare leggeri), o meglio una xt3 con il nuovo 23 f1.4 WR, più pesante ma, forse, con maggiore qualità dell’immagine? Grazie.

where did you get the camera strap?

Strap is from my Dad's old Canon AE-1 from the 80's. So I have no idea!

I love the x100V too but I wouldn't consider it a "point and shoot". Thanks for the video.
