Everyone is talking about how society depends on electricity or social media but I don’t think that’s what this is about. The wind constantly beats against these people, and it seems like they don’t even care how strong it is. They could simply build a house or go underground, but instead they build their society upon an existing problem and learn how to live with it until someone else fixes it for them.

The entire society has adapted to a way of life that functions with the wind.
Once the wind stops, supposedly heralding an easier life, the children in the sky fall to their deaths, the drinkers have have an accident, the sportsman get injured, the hair stylist cannot cut properly and harms one of their clients. The hat man has an overabundance of hats and the showering man can no longer shower.
It is a simple metaphor to the dangers and difficulties around adaptation.
If you change the foundation of a society, everything falls apart.

    *Did you know?*
Strong winds can move up to 25-30 mph; Frequent gusts of wind are another thing; those can move over 30 mph. Anyway, wind is created after warm air expands and rises above an area, and less warm air rushes in to take its place. Air gets even colder on highland. As the weather turns cold, and when it comes to a skier in distress; there's a pressure decrease which causes the tissues in your body to expand, and that can compress your joints making it painful to move and flex them. In response to the cold air, increased muscle tone can respond to windy conditions making your facial muscles tighter, and that causing pain is something that that's famous for. That's also part of why animals hibernate.

We made it and adapted to it even though we knew of its harmful dangers, and then came the Covid 19 epidemic and reduced emissions and pollution.
