I have been looking for a video like this. There are so many different tutorials, but none that explain it simply, like you did. Thank you! I look forward to more videos from you!
Very helpful! Thank you for your important side notes around why the combination is necessary, adding plaster to water, etc. Your soft voice and energy is authentic and generous. So glad you’re here!

🇴🇲 From the Sultanate of Oman, I would like to thank you very much, my dear, for this wonderful explanation. This video helped me a lot to understand the method of creating texture paste. I am very grateful to you.
🇴🇲 🇴🇲🇴🇲 Hi!!! I’m really glad you found the video helpful. I also dropped an updated video with measurements yesterday since I’ve been getting questions about that - in case that might also help. All the best! 🤎
Many thanks for a fabulous tutorial - many creators show what to add, but I love to know the “why” - that’s the part that allows you to adjust to your preference. To think I’ve been using joint compound, filler, smooth coat additive and all along I have POP sitting in my workshop…. “Smh”. New subscriber here - THANKYOU !!
I have been searching for videos like this. I am also trying to create better tutorials for my work There are many different tutorials available, but none can explain them as simply as you do. thank you! I look forward to you providing more videos!
@ I was wondering if you had any pictures of your artwork using your mixture that you wanted to show us? I’m thinking of making a textured artwork myself!
Thank for explaining so simply but so eloquently the process and the reasoning behind it. Like everyone else I’ve been looking to soooo many videos, yours is simple. Keep the good work. It would’ve been even better to see you using for your art. Ian going to look for your other videos. You have a new subscriber!
Thankyou very much for the video.❤ If you clarify these questions i will be grateful. 1. Can we use wall putty or wall compound instead of plaster of paris? 2. Hi!! 1. Yes, suggesting you watch my latest video where I share a new a new joint compound material I’m working with. 2. Unclear what you mean. What I’m mixing is my texture paste and all ingredients added are listed. 3. Many reasons can lead to cracks, including wall putty with fillers that shrink a lot+layering too thickly. I share more details in my latest video. 4. Yes, my art is for sale. Hopefully this helps, but I’ll suggest you check out my other videos as they provide further info. 🤎
Amazing video. Thank you! I commented below asking for you to add the link for the tutorial that contains measurements, but, truly, once I saw the whole video I realized that I don't need it. I left the comment anyway just in case someone else does.
Hey Beautiful Lady! Thank you for the tips, I have some ideas that i needed a thick texture for my painting. I hope it turns out. This looks like it will work great, and since i had a bucket of plaster sitting around and never did know what to do with it, now I know. :) Keep up the good work!
Thanks dear I an on my husband phone he passed away so I am using his phone I love watching video so I click on your as of now you will do great I am planning on learning from you. Watching you work I will give u a what you really deserve great work just explaining it
If you wanted the artwork to have a color instead of white, do you mix the color paint into the mixture or is it better to paint it? Thanks you for this very helpful video!
Super helpful for me today!! I found exactly what I was looking for. New Sub here. I am starting a 3d wall painting and needed a refresher on how to mix the texture paste and ran across your channel.
Brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing. As a beginner crafter, I don’t wish to spend a lot of money on materials and your video id God sent. 😊 BTW, how long this paste can be kept in an airtight container? God bless you.
Hi! It can be kept almost indefinitely but you may need to add water as it evaporates. The longest I’ve kept mine is about six weeks and I had no issues. Thank you! 🤎
Thank you for sharing the recipe. I was searching for months to find something like that. I do not have formal education from art school, but really want to use this mixture on a canvas. What do u suggest can I use to make a mural?
Love this and how you explain it!! You’re very helpful in how you describe why you do things. I bought everything you have and tried to make it the same but mine solidified 😢 did I not add enough glue?
Oh no! Question: when did it solidify? Was it immediately or hours after? If immediately, then I’d recommend adding more glue and paint, you can check out my updated tutorial with measurements. If it appears to somewhat solidify hours later, add a little bit of water and you’ll likely be able to keep coating your brush with a creamy paste. Hopefully this helps!
Absolutely! This is pretty much what I use in a lot of my artworks (feel free to check my channel for reference). I also have a more recent mixture tutorial that offers more flexibility with joint compound, suggest you check it out so you can make an informed decision.
It begins to dry as soon as it is applied, about a day or two depending on how thick the application. Suggest you check out my other videos for more info

Hi, your tutorial was really detailed, but Can i use premixed acrylic putty for my art? Coz I am facing some cracks in my art and and Don't know how to fix this issue
Hi! I don’t used premixed putty but I’ve heard it’s a great alternative. I suggest you give it a try.
Are you layering too thickly? That could cause cracks. Hope it helps!
@@thezendoc no I am not using a thick layer, even a really thin layer cracking
@thezendoc Hi, I tried by my painting got lot of cracks. Why? What should I do?
Nice Content. I am your new subscriber. I have a question.
1. You have mention the ratio but in general - but in practical way to avoid cracks in the future what must be the standard ratio.
2. What is the brand of your Plaster of Paris.
3. How many hours shall I dry the paste before I will paint it.
Thank you
Sure thing!
1. I do not use or believe in a specific standard ratio, my mixture is different every single time depending on how I mix and what consistency I want (sometimes thick, sometimes watery). For me, the ratio isn’t what prevents cracks. In my experience, joint compound/spackling paste are what cause cracks because they shrink a ton when drying and I’ve not had cracks since I stopped using them in my mixture. I can probably do a video on cracks at some point + I’m work on a mixture with specific ratios this weekend for anyone who wants that, so stay tuned!
2. Brand is DAP - you can also find links in the description!
3. 24-48 hours on average. It also depends on how thickly you’ve applied your layers.
@@thezendoc Thank you for your reply
Since this has both glue and acrylic paint is it also flexible? Also can it be used in thin silicone molds?
I’m not sure what flexibility means here but yes, it should work with silicone molds. Cement is also a great option for molds.
is that mixture not easy to dry? im mixing plaster always quick to dry
Can we you smoothing mass,or it must be plaster only?
Not sure what smoothing mass is. I’ll say use what works best for you
