Jake, I saw the tweet and I feel you. I picked up a 70” Samsung from Costco for $479, it was crazy to move it inside as a bachelor. It barely fits on my tv console. I did consider getting a tv stand to hang it from, and it wouldn’t need to be drilled into my wall. I got lucky, hope you getting it solved satisfactorily soon.
Every Luis Castillo trade idea needs a suggestion of how the Mariners will replace those innings (and 1B, and 3B) for the $16mil budget ownership has shackled themselves to. Our SP depth is a bit sketchy for the next year. Hancock was -0.4 WAR in 12 games last year, and Logan Evans/Brandyn Garcia would be nice to let bake more or use as an injury backup instead of expecting 100 innings from either of them.
I’d say a Starting Pitcher who hasn’t thrown over 70-80 innings in 6-7 years is a little more than a little concerning. It’s a huge red flag and a huge concern and u absolutely cannot count on anything from that guy. It’s just facts
I'm a mariners fan but I don't see any way that they will get Hoerner AND Bellinger for Castillo. First, the Mariners don't need an outfielder so Bellinger would be stuck mostly playing first (not sure if he's into that). Castillo doesn't not have that much value on the trade market because the Ms will have to throw in cash considerations for his contract. Hoerner would be a good addition but by himself he has close to as much value on the market as Castillo
As a Cubs fan, yeah the ownership, maybe the front office, is the biggest issue. They should be spending more, they should be trying to make this a perennial contender, but they don't. They sit back. They watch Wrigley sell out all season and they put out a .500 team that goes on one good run a season. I was hoping Max Fried would be that signing. This seems out now. They're just not committed enough. It's tough to be a Jags/Cubs fans because ownership doesn't care across the board.

Honestly Soto and Santander I don't think will help. They might have good seasons, but in Chicago, they'll probably have their worst seasons ever. LOL.
Hey could be worse I’ve been a Mariners and Lions fan all my life (24 years old) and they’re good now but they were the laughing stock of the league for like 20 of my 24 years of life.

As a cubs fan im not mad at u jake, I dont get what we are doing either. I thought we should have sold at the deadline 2 years ago. Instead we doubled down and now we are in the same place. To me it feels like they are trying to be competitive but not contenders. The Boyd move feels right in line with that. Like they don't want to be bad but don't have what it takes to be great. I see a lot of ok but nothing special in the lineup, and holes in the rotation and bullpen. Since theo left I've had issues with the front office and don't really believe in it or our player development. But they need to pick a direction. We are a big market and we should act like it sometimes. Go get a burnes or something. It feels like we are destined for an 80-85 win season good enough for 2nd or third place looking up at the brewers in a really winnable division. Smh
cubs should go after Burnes, I say keep Bellinger, but if they can get a huge name deal for him...go for it. I have a 19 or 24, forget Insignia, Fire TV. Like it. Got it cheap. Bought it through Amazon, but it is a Best Buy product, pick up at store. Just getting back into football, Seen the videos of Caleb, he is showing promise. Burrows is a great QB, from what little I've got to see of him. Lions are a great team, going more for Texans, but have got to see a lot of Detroit, this season. Goff is good.

Nico Hoerner is completely fine solution at 2B but shacking yourself up to Bellinger with all that money isn’t. I’d rather trade for Donovan but idk if the Cardinals are moving him. But like I’d rather trade for Brandon Lowe as a stop gap if Cole young can play this year or next.
The Mariners won’t trade Castillo unless they get a deal they can’t refuse or get Sasaki. So stop trying to make a Mariners trading a Starting Pitcher thing happen.
