During the CW "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover eps, Ezra Miller had a scene with Grant Gustin. So, yeah, WB could have easily switched them for the movie.
But nope. Because they’re too addicted to criminal/abuser actors/actresses and using AI art and AI voices instead!
No wonder Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning was more better than this trash.
If the DCEU wasn't dead before, it certainly is now that the Flash has become the biggest bomb in super hero movie history.

@@everburn it may have flopped hard, but it still wasn't the worst. Both Black Adam and Shazam 2 were way worst with very little to no redeeming value in those movies. The Flash was more on par with 1984 that had a lot of good mixed in with the bad regardless of ticket sales. The ticket sales are more a reflection on the fact the Ezra Miller was the lead, and because it came right after two horrible DCU movies. People were just tired.
bomb is one thing...more enjoyable is another. Id rather watch the flash again than bvs or justice league lol

They invested over 200 million into the movie and Ezra played multiple roles. They'd have to reshoot the entire movie if they wanted to replace Ezra.
That probably also added to Ezra's ego and their brazen crime spree. Ezra knew they couldn't be replaced.
if they replaced him with Grant Gustin, they would've double their investment and the movie would've done well at the box office.

They weren't going to make that back with this poorly written film.
Maybe it could have if it was a more faithful adaptation of Flashpoint though.

You don't even have to watch an entire episode of CW Flash to know Grant was better. There's an Honest Trailer covering the first 2 seasons. They were AMAZING. And while the show stayed on the air 5 seasons too long (except for Crossovers), Grant remained AMAZING. Screen Junkies should have attached that trailer to this for comparison
The Flash except for the first few seasons is garbage show
The last few seasons were painful to watch
But yeah Grant is just about the best thing to have come out of that show.

The whole movie I felt like the CGI was rendered with the same tech they used for The Polar Express.
You know what, I loved the first multiverse movie called "The One" by Jet Li. That shit was fire when I watched it as a kid. 🔥👌

See, the difference is, Jet Li is an awesome Martial Artist, while Ezra Miller is a spoiled Millenial who doesn't even know how to run properly.

The MCU did it with the 3 Peters, who all looked different. Having Grant be the alternate Flash would have been so easy, but I hope WB are saving him for the rebooted DCU.

The CW show of The Flash may have gone downhill with later seasons, but Grant Gustin is still an amazing actor. I would have watched this movie day one if he was the star.
I went into the Flash with the mindset that I was watching Batman Part 3 co-staring The Flash. I was not disappointed and I enjoyed this film.

The fact that they changed the actor playing Barry’s dad, they could have replaced ezra with grant right when he travels to the other timeline and explaining it like ’my father looks different that’s why maybe I look different’ and then there is no going back like they replaced Bruce. Blaming it on the timeline change. W
Yeah without a doubt warner bros could have had grant Gustin come in a be the flash bc him and Ezra were together in the CW crisis on infinite earth's event so they could have they literally had no excuses as to why they couldn't

I loved this view, however I loved the Pitch Meeting one more.
Bruh grant gustin is not only fine as flash . He is "the great". Once you even see the first season of the show flash. You won't ever see anyone else as flash. Just like rdj as iron man. Grant is so good as flash.

The contract Universal signed with Ezra could just be insanely good. I don't know who their agent is, but maybe the agent negotiated some crazy compensation sum if Ezra was dismissed mid filming or they decided to use someone else after they signed.
I think Warner Bros needs to seriously has a bad record on how they handle things. The whole double standard with the Johnny Depp Amber Heard debacle (and before anyone comes for me their relationship was toxic). He was fired without any proof and then when it showed that she was the abuser they kept her in Aquaman 2. Then this whole Ezra thing. I was one of those who would have loved to go see it but because of his behavior and the producers non-chalant attitude I just couldn’t.
Maybe they should look to Paramount who redid all the CGI in Sonic to make the fans happy and made bank.

No matter what anyone says I appreciated the original Superman and Supergirl. Some people saw them for the first time there.
The reason WB is never going to replace Ezra with Gustin is because it would cause confusion with unfamiliar general audiences who would think they needed to watch 9 seasons of a show to catch-up on this new Flash and would just end up skipping the movie to avoid the hassle. They're never going to hire Grant Gustin as the new Flash they are also not going to bring Ezra back for obvious reasons. They're either going to get someone new to be their universe's Barry Allen or they're just going to bring in Wally West.
Sadly, Wally West has been dissed badly by DC, since they hate him, and want everyone on this planet to forget he was ever even attached to the mantle after Barry Allen sacrificed himself to save an endless amounts of lives. If you ask me, you don't even need Ezra to be the Flash, let alone Barry anymore. Heck, I would argue that Topher Grace looks more like Eddie Brock than Ezra Miller looks like Barry Allen! Even Grant Gustin faced some confusion upon his casting, saying he wasn't old enough, as well as a lack of blue eyes and blonde hair, but the producers told him he had the heart, and seeing John Wesley Shipp pass the torch to him was spirit lifting! I didn't complain about the show overstaying it's welcome for too long, but I just think they should have either learned from their mistakes with each renewal, or just flat out hired new writers entirely for the subsequent seasons.
The Flash is the Murphy's Law of Movies, anything that can go wrong did go wrong
That theory of dirt can also explain why Gal Gadot can appear in so many cameos and is a serious contender to be the Wonderwoman of the DCU... she has so much clout

IMO, The Flash was actually a good movie overall which includes Ezra's really good acting in a double role. Sasha as Supergirl embodied and carried the legacy of Henry Cavill perfectly and would love to see more of her in action. Michael Keaton's return as Batman was outstanding. Zod was awesome too. But personally, I enjoyed seeing Ben Affleck in action as Batman, particularly his final scene which showed how perfect of a casting decision or comic accurate he is. So overall, a really good movie!
I wish they'd share that story. But I highly doubt they will.

Gustin should have been the alternate timeline Flash.
It would spare us the obnoxiousness of two Ezra Millers at least. Even if one would look the other way to his crimes I can't stand seeing him as the Flash.
Zack Snyder had a lot of home runs with casting the DCEU, but Ezra Miller is one of the biggest backfires in the history of blockbusters.

Understanding a multiverse in movies is more convoluted and confusing than people trying to understand time travel in movies. And just like with time travel, everyone has their own theory, but none of us knows if any of them are true.
It amazes me how WB literally had the option of replacing Ezra Miller with Grant Gustin, who played rhe Flash so much better, but they chose to continue with this dumpster fire. I'm so glad it backfired on them.

DCEU failed because not only some people complained about Men of Steel and was the only DC movie without executive interference, so not only was it a bad idea to try and play catch up and try to make DC movies with the Marvel humor since since WB thought the dark tone was the issue and brought in Joss Weldon, and should of stuck to Zack Snyder’s vision establish the characters.
The big baddies of the DCEU was not only Darkseid, but was revealed that that the reason this universe and their superheroes like Superman killing Zod, is because the Reverse Flash was going to be involved as the cause of The Snyderverse been grittier.
I blame the fans that mostly for complaining and not giving Zack Snyder a chance to finish his Justice League. Even though BvS was not as I imagined either, but I was willing to give it a chance to see where it lead.
I'm gonna say it. I know DC has been owned by WB since its conception in the 30s/40s, but they need to sell it and let another company take over. Who I had in mind, Netherrealm Studios. I know they too are fueled and funded by WB, but still. Netherrealm can be to DC and WB the way Disney was to StarWars and George Lucas.
Ezra isn't coming back because this movie was a massive flop and it'll be impossible to insure a movie that features Ezra in a major role.

Many people including myself would have loved if Grant replaced Ezra. But the only downside I think is that, we've seen him become mature from a kid to a responsible man in the role of Barry Allen. It would be odd to see him do that again.

The Ezra Miller movie Flash allegedly didn’t start calling himself The Flash until he met the Grant Gustin TV Flash in The Crisis of Infinite Earths TV event. Makes me wonder, when did the Gal Gadot movie Wonder Woman start being called Wonder Woman. Because she was never even called that in her own movie.

I wish the remaining 40% was strong, then it could've been a really great movie. But whoops.
Personally i enjoyed the past shots but kept showing Chris Reeve and saying how uncool it was but not one shot of Steve Reeves who very well could have died because of the character.
Also whats wrong with giving a little love to the 40+ crowd. I get it teens and 20s rule the world and any memberberries can only be portrayed by them but i thought it was nice to see something showing that 51 yr old kid who sat watching superman with his baby blanket tied around his neck and seeing a quick glimpse of what came before as a celebration of DC

I still don’t understand why Ezra’s version of The Flash got a standalone movie. Justice League barely made a profit, if any, and Ezra was hardly a standout. I get that The Flash is a popular character, but why Ezra Miller? I wouldn’t necessarily cast Grant Gustin for the movie either, but cast a relative unknown who can portray intelligence as well as being a bit cocky, in a fun, charismatic way.
Ezra spiraled out of control so quickly is insane. This movie was doomed.

I have no idea about Erza Miller personal history, his crimes and what not. watched no review about flash online....downloaded movie through torrent and absolutely loved The Flash movie.

The TV show suffered from a TV budget, and stretching storylines to cover each seasons episode requirement.
WB will be trying everything to get Greta Gerwig to direct the DCU Supergirl movie!

Flash show is 100x better than the movie. All the actors are top notch, good enough writing especially first 5/6 seasons. If grant Gustin was in the movie i would have watched it in a heartbeat.

But still I strongly believe that because of one guy being an asshole and apparently/unfortunately he is a lead actor, nobody has the right to screw up an art. Movie making is one of the biggest art forms in the world and it involves the sweat and blood of 1000s of people on and behind the screen, lots of money involved, so as time, energy, efforts, supplements and the list goes on. There is a producer - an individual or a production company, other factors involved such as DC was in no position to re-shoot the whole thing replacing Ezra.
Spectators should be more sensible when they create an agenda to screw up the hard work, sweat and blood of so many people. It is highly unethical as a movie lover to screw up a movie because of one guy. If don't like him in movies, just chill. He or she is only a part of a bigger cake. A lot of other things are happening in the movie which were quite enjoyable though there were vfx issues.
#TheFlash was a good watchable movie and I feel so sorry for #DCComics that it became a biggest flop for them.
The conspiracy theory that Ezra "has something" on WB, and that's the only reason they're starring in his own movie is, like most trending conspiracies, dumb. They'd already shot the movie, and clearly had hopes that it would do better than it did. It's not like Miller is going to be starring in more WB movies going forward. If the theory was correct, then Miller would be The Flash in perpetuity.
I also agree that it's dumb, but the fact remains that Batgirl was canned after being basically finished, while Ezra had his run-ins with the law long before the movie was even close to completed. The chocking video is over 3 fucking years old, if you're telling me the movie was shot completely 3 years ago i'll laugh.
Ezra has nothing on WB, WB just hoped at first it was a one time thing and that it would be water under the bridge and later were afraid of the backlash from the alphabet mafia if the fired a "they/them".
And at the end of this road of a lot of fence sitting and indeciciveness we arrive at "The Flop".

There's lots of amazing movie that never made any money .
We can't say the movie is bad just bcz they had 7 bad CGI shots or the actor is POS in real life.
All you have to say in Hollyweird is "I'm not straight", then you can do whatever you want
