Class discrimination is widely accepted in our society to the point where people make songs making fun of their own social class. Sad really. Additionally we have enough resources and technology to fulfill most jobs today without the need for humans, so what if people don't want to work. People shouldn't have to. People should have their basic needs met (housing, water and food) as a human right. Most jobs now are shit pay, shit hours, shit bosses, working for shit companies for rude customers for a shitty standard of living while the richest in society get richer. Finally, the person this is describing doesn't exist. The reality is most people do work, we have the highest workplace poverty on record. People struggle to buy weed. Moreso, only 2 children are covered by child benefit, and it isn't mad money. It might have been before the 2010s, but this perception isn't accurate to today. Also, a lot of working people claim benefits (working tax credit) because they can't get enough hours at work and are on zero hours/part time because they have school runs and it costs to much for a babysitter. To put it into perspective I was (whilst living at home with both parents in a 4 bedroom house) working 5 part time jobs (4 voluntary and 1 paid), teaching myself how to rap and script write for television from scratch and (obviously) managing / uploading videos to my TH-cam channel, plus I applied for a 6th part time job all whilst getting Personal independence payment of £450 a month and still wasn’t considered ‘eligible’ for a flat even though the £450 a month was supposed to be used to help me live independently in a flat! 😳😳 Then once I got a flat after filling out 2 medical forms to ‘prove’ I was on the spectrum and needed the extra help, not to mention ‘bidding’ on almost 100 different properties - they decided I didn’t need the benefits anymore... Find it funny how they provided a two bedroom flat for (someone I know) who lived at home with one parent and had two children (to two different men) and now is pregnant again with a third child to someone else....

This is one of those things where its funny, but actually when you think of what the reality is, it isn't funny.
People stigmatise people on the dole in this country - but the reality is, there is competition at the top and there's competition at the bottom.
Its also geographic, like me currently there isn't any of the kind of work I'd like near me. So I'm gonna have to move.
Also having a job in itself, isn't the answer to everybodies problems - sonetimes it adds to them.
Theres a lot of crap employment out there, minimum wage, no benefits or progression - take Warehouse work its a job, but its fucking awful, robotic, your working with ex-cons everyone is sarcastic.
