Bugout is one of thr best edc knives out there. Nice comparations you made with those options. For me the best comparation is the Spyderco para 3 lw.....in m390. And the WSP Qanary is nice choice also. Man very nice and long video, thanks!
Yes!!!! I should have added the Para 3!!! I wanted to stick with the same lock system, but the elementum and Dozier are so similar in blade styles I had to add them. I know people.love the Bugout, and that's why I love knives, what I like you may not, and.vice versa. There's a knife for everyone's taste though! "There's a hand.for every knife, a knife for.every hand, but not every hand is suited for every knife!!!"
Nice one! I have been waiting to see that mini nightshade. I really like the leaf blade. And orange accent pop like crazy. The action on it seems real nice. And the Yonder... man i like that one. Thats the one im hoping to get for Christmas. I like Zach Whitmore. I miss him on blade HQ. Thats the version i like best. Love me some micarta. I like that there is a Z on the blade. Works well for me. It would have been cool if he did some sort of ZW design as my name is zachary White haha. Yeah bugouts are nice. I dont think i would get one. Im not a Benchmade hater. But i do find my self rolling my eyes or plain out scoffing out loud over their prices. I do like Houge. In my mental wish list resides a k320. Aluminum and walnut one looks great. As for Benchmade it just occurred to me. That it was probably the most expensive one you showed yet you had to manually close it every time. I liked the petrified fish as well. I should scroll their stuff more. Have a good one Chris and thanks again for the video.
You know your.knives!!! Very well said, all of it. Listen, if i had smaller hands then the Yonder would be as close to a perfect edc knife as I could find. There are better knives for one reason or another, but he wanted to design a knife that was well rounded and encompassed all of the features he enjoys in knives. Boy, did he hit a home run. The action is INSANE!!!!!! I mean, insane!!! It is so snappy and smooth and easy and fast and quick and I can't keep going, lol. I don't like the jumping, but most fingers aren't as large and rough as mine. So take that into account. If you like it then don't hesitate, get one and let me know your impressions.? I'd like to know if we are on the same page there. I promise, either way, you will not regret it. I love Zac Whitmore and his demeanor and attitude. He was excellent on Blade HQ and it was by far their best videos. Zachary in the wild is OK too, but just not the same. I agree about Benchmade prices, too. They make good.knives, but not for the prices. I love Hogue, and it kills me to diss the Deka so much, but for 140 it should be more assuring in the hand. I know of them breaking, not the Bugout, but a couple of Dekas I have heard about breaking. With aftermarket scales, yes it is awesome, but out of the box, not so much. Lolololol I vant believe the Bugouts action on this one! I have dealt with it before, but it keeps going right back to the way it is. I wouldn't buy it again, that's for sure. The 940 Osborne, amazing. The bugout, well, I'm out. Thanks you, as always, for your excellent comment and feedback! You speak well and I love your takes on the subject at hand!
the Bugout is so nice I bought it twice. I'm not a fan of the Elementum either. The yonder looks interesting and I'm a fan of Zack. I do believe the Griptillian was discontinued. I wanted the topo version of the iridium. If the Hectre came in Nitro-V or 14C28N it would be a game changer. I did catch the D2 comment, and I had to stop and think about it. I have the 20CV Deka and the base scales are better than the magnacut ones. May I suggest another bugout alternative The Ruike P801 it, due to its steel scales it weighs a ton compared to the bugout however, for 40 or so dollars it's not bad.
Great comment! You can still get the Griptilian on Blade HQ and on Knifecenter. I hope you watch some other videos of mine or read through some comments, I want you to see the number 1 budget knife that I recommend to people. Its all over my channel and many videos. Guess what it is??? it's right around 40 bucks and has steel handle scales. Lol. Anything come to mind? It's my favorite budget knife available, and I call it the poor man's sebenza. A few people who watch have already ordered it and got it in and love it. You definitely know your knives! Thank you for your comment and for spending time with my video! I would love any and all feedback you could give me!?
Couldn't have said it better Chris. I've also got a Mel Pardue Grip & 100% agree, the Grip wins hands down over the bugout or the Houge Deka, it just does, not trying to be mean or nothing, it just is what it is. Chris lol you want an AWESOME knife that's got one of the coolest most usable blade shapes out there, it's by an Australian designer James Lowe & it's by Kizer & it's called the Kizer Huntsman it's a full Titanium Framelock in S35VN & mate YOU JUST WAIT till you get this thing in hand, it's off the chain comfortable for guys with bigger hands as you & I both have, it's not an EDC really although being a larger bloke you absolutely could, & I have. it's still around I'm sure but If you can't find one in the states, & I'm sure you'll be able to, but if you cannot, then I've got a completely brand spanking new one in box unopened, as I liked it so much when I bought mine, I wanted a spare LOL (who needs a spare it'll probably out live me it's so bloody tough LOL) but if you can't find one & you want one mate, then there's a brand spanking new one in my untouched collection with your name on it, let me know & I'll give ya a better deal than the big guys will, I've got 3 knives that I liked so much I bought spares of, the Kizer Huntsman designed by James Lowe is one of them, another was the full titanium Kansept Convict in S35VN I've got a brand new untouched one of those two, so yeah if you want it I'll sell it to you for a good deal & send it out to ya, all my untouched knives stay exactly how they came to me from my good mate Mitch at Adventure Carry, so if I resold any piece whomever bought it would be exactly like getting from the store, lol I'm high functioning autistic & I like things just so, so ....lol but if you are able to get one in the US&A & don't need to bother with mine, not a problem at all, but you owe it to yourself Chris to get one in hand because I 110% guarantee when you flip it you smile a rather large smile lol, if you don't then I don't know knives mate lol Yep not trying to be mean to Houge, but the only two good things on the Deka are the blade & the thumb studs. Thanks Chris & God bless you all
Heck yea!!! I'm gonna check it our right now and let you know. I already want it!!! Lol. The Kizer Huntsman. Sounds like a tough knife!! Lol. When I was.making the.video i was.feel8ng the knives, and the Deka is garbage! Even the Bugout feels tough and sturdy compared to the deka, and that says a.lot.
@@theun-professionaldad2232 I know mate, I've got alot of time & respect for Houge as an older American company, I sincerely do, but it is what it is the Houge Deka is utter flimsy garbage mate!! Lol I'm telling ya mate, when you flip the Huntsman if you don't smile the grown man version smile of an overjoyed boy at Christmas then I'll be very very shocked I've had mine for a while now & each time I flip it I still smile & go whoa, now that's one awesome blade Mr Lowe!! Lol yep no worries mate, I don't usually offer my unused knives out for sale at an unbeatable price very often, but when you called the Deka breakable on the YT's I thought here's a bloke who tells it like it is, so yeah if you want to buy it, it's yours, but if you can still find one in the states, then that's totally could, doesn't matter where you get it from lol as long as you get one mate 😀🙏👍
@@theun-professionaldad2232 lol & technically speaking you don't flip the Huntsman lol you deploy it with Thumb studs or rear flick it in the (jail cell/Huntsman eye) with your middle finger. It's modelled after the Australian Spider called lol yep you guessed it....The Huntsman lol.
