These are some really good tips! I'd like to add "fun": At the end of my practicing, I always try to do something that brings me fun - for example, play a song that I really enjoy. Or figure out the chords of a random pop song I just heard. After all, piano playing is a hobby and hobbies are supposed to be fun. Try to never lose the fun along your way!

Yes we should absolutely add “fun” to our practice sessions to stay motivated! And that can look differently for everyone. Thanks for adding!

Good advice as I truly suffer from lack of time (or lack of making the time) and boredom... with your tips I hope to overcome both of these 👍

Thank you. These are great tips. I like the passion one the most. Its a great motivator attempting to play something u really love. Definitely keeps u wanting to go back. Though i wonder though since you have 2 kids...how did you manage to practice when they were younger? Thats the challenge i am going through now its so hard. When they are asleep is the only time but you are so wiped by that time haha. And if you have just an acoustic piano you cant practice because you will wake the whole house up !

Oh I feel for you! I have to admit that when my kids were little I didn’t get a lot of practice in. I have a Roland Keyboard and I would practice with the headphones when they were sleeping. But I was usually too exhausted to practice. We have seasons in our life…times when we can practice more and times when we struggle. Hang in there and play when you can! Things will get easier!
