FINALLY I GOT THE NAME TO THE TWO FACES THAT I DIDN'T KNOW THE NANES OF! I knew which one of them is Hog but the other's, i didn't know which one was Arms and which was Foil. NOW I FINALLY GOT THE NAMES!

Since my first experience with Army rations in the field I say "If you can chew it, you'll eat it", it was a defense mechanism to convince myself not to starve. Seriously, beans & bacon 3 meals a day, but the airforce had steak and salads for lunch, seafood for dinners.

The first scissors weren't in a package. It went like that for generations until someone realized that the way to stop the younger generations from taking over their work, money and power was to give them the scissors according to the Great Scissors Act of 1883 but put them in a package that requires scissors or a knife + trip to the hospital.

As an italian I can confirm our chefs are just like Antonio. A pity that hospital food is usually quite crappy... since it is not made by chefs, and the budget tend to be tight.

But also because they have to be carefull not to put allergenes in it.
I had to stay in the hospital once for a couple of days and found that in this particular one they had made a real effort to have food that was pretty good. The sad irony is that I felt like crap the entire time I was there - it was the reason I was there actually - and couldn't enjoy any of it.
I've watched this several times and only now just realized that the chef's plate is a freaking tile

Giorgio Bottura I really wasn't taking it that seriously. I've been to both Italy and France and I've had to learn both languages in school.
@@eadaoinl Weeeeelll those lessons did not prove effective. The "Buon Appetito" expression was the only one that was pronounced almost correctly. And I am not blaming them, it's hard to recreate foreign accents.

This skit is just perfection, Arms as the sweet old grandma & Foil as the Italian chef with the accent & funky moustache is hilarious ! I didn't know Hog can play a doctor this convincingly! I think you guys should do a whole Hospital series with ER, Patient anxiety, insurance etc! :-)

Good intuition - In my experience, Italians are the most magnificent food snobs on the planet - They often vehemently despise any slightest variations on their local dishes that might be the tradition in neighbouring villages - not to even get started on their loudly professed disgust at the cuisine of other, more distant, Italian regions.
As far as foreign cuisine is concerned: It quite simply doesn't count as food at all, being obviously inedible, if not consistently actually poisonous.
There may be a little twinkle-eyed humour behind the pugnacious food snobbery, but it is well hidden by the passion

It's not easy to make hospital patient food. There are many categories based on patient conditions such as diabetic diet, low salt diet, renal diet, cardiac diet, etc. That's not all. There are several consistencies for food like regular, mechanically chopped, pureed, etc based on patient's ability to swallow at any given time. Finally there is 2 types of liquid diet like clear liquid and full liquid which are used immediately after surgery to see if a patient can tolerate anything by mouth before advancing to regular diet. So all jokes aside, preparing a hospital patient menu is a tough job. That said, this is a funny skit.

I'm in hospital at the minute - I'd be happy if (a) - they could just get the concept of 'toast', and (b) they wouldn't practically stand over you while you're eating; you leave the knife or fork down for a second and they'll 'whip' the tray, quicker than >that!

My experience of hospital care is not being able to eat very much at all, so I would have appreciated micro plates with three options to see which one I actually could get in me.
