  • Depending on the type oh horse I'm riding, lazy, dull, fractious, feely, or just perfect, I will use my legs in several different ways. The goal is to have self locomoted horses that will tolerate leg pressure without over reacting and horses that will allow you to remove or stabilize your legs and keep going forward. It's all explained here in this video or in more details at thecomfortzone.vhx.tv
    Thanks for watching!
    Cheers

I tried the sitting back and legs forward. At first he would just stopped. But I worked him through it. It worked great. Thank you for sharing that. Any other great ideas to speed up a lazy horse while you have them moving forward?

Good job on accomplishing the first part. I would do the same process for speed.
