Okay so it’s not a released song but Niall performed this unreleased track called Champagne lovers on Instagram live and there tuns of videos of him singing it. And I’m telling you it’s worth watching. The VOCALS.
OMG, Champagne Lovers is SO GOOD. I'm hoping SO MUCH that it ends up on his next album!

Honestly, when the Niall fandom heard those two songs we were so pressed. I remember we gave him so much grief for like the first two weeks after the album was released because these songs are so good. I remember being SO PRESSED they weren’t on the album

@@goldenlilfreak I know that, I meant kind of what Slow hands was? Niall said himself that Slow Hands was the precursor to the Heartbreak Weather style of music he went with. I'm just saying that I hope Nothing is the same, that it belongs in Heartbreak Weather but it also kind of shows what Niall is thinking of doing for his next album.

He recorded most of those songs in one go and picked the best takes. With a full band. It's folky, and country with heaping helpings of Fleetwood Mac and Eagles influences. Great freshman album. I hope you finally decide to listen to it. I laughed when you reviewed "Heartbreak Weather" and thought that 'Nice to Meet Ya" was from Flicker. You'll find out why if you react to it. Make sure you do the deluxe. Wouldn't want you to miss out on the goodness that is the three bonus tracks this time. lol

@positivesteven The main reason dress is an extra track, seems to me, is that it fits better with his debut album. If you enjoyed it, you'll love that album.

I agree they both should have been included on the album, it would have been great to see where they fit in the story. I know he said on Twitter where they would have gone but I can’t remember. It was 100% worth getting an American friend of mine to send it to me (worth every dollar). He also said these were released on the target edition because they like having two extra exclusive tracks and he didn’t want to put out 18. If target didn’t want exclusive tracks these would have been on the regular album by the sounds of it. You should check out his first album, it’s much folkier but still so well done. Shows you another side of Niall.

Yes that does have a traditional Irish sound in there. My parents are from eastern Canada and this is a very popular sound in the traditional music of Eastern Canada where there is a large amount of Irish heritage.
I’m from Eastern Canada too, which is probably why I love these vibes from Niall so much, it’s cool to have a little piece of home in such a popular, talented, well-known artist :)

Thank you for reacting to these bonus tracks. Yes, it is sad that these are not on the album, but he said that they are still very much part of the story. It's just that cause the target edition always has 2 extra tracks, and he was not willing to make an album with 18 songs, which is why he made 14 songs album with 2 bonus tracks. If you follow the story of the album, then he said that Nothing would come right after New Angel and Dress would come just before Still. And yes he is from Ireland, which is why his music always has the Irish feeling, I also thought that the beautiful violin part at the end of Dear Patience gave the Irish feeling. Please also react to his live performances, he is amazing!

I think Niall said these were maybe gonna be on the album anyways but instead made them the two deluxe ones for the Target edition instead of making two new songs
I had no clue he even had bonus tracks available, so thanks for this! I am in love with this album so the chance to hear more is fantastic. Will have to make a trip to Target when quarantine is over to get this version. Would love to see you react to his first album, Flicker.

If you love Dress then you'll def love Flicker album it is closer to this sound and more acoustic. Flicker and Heartbreak weather are both really good album.
