This song has some Egyptian vibes in it, I love it! I came here after finishing Planescape: Torment, what a masterpiece, they don't make games like these nowadays.
Falls-From-Grace: "Morte, how exactly do you float?" Morte: "I'd rather not get into it. It's about the head of Vecna." Falls-From-Grace: "That was you!?" Morte: "I'd rather not talk about it!"
Just completed the game Masterpiece and true rpg experience I am gonna share my thoughts and it can be very long read so you can skip alright At the beginning when I started the game I have watched some reviews read some recommendation and so I started playing the game at first I thought this will be your average rpg but no it really caught me and I kept playing it while I Like the atmosphere, the characters, this was a good rpg worth playing but nothing that will make it the best like many claimed until I did not met past incarnations of The Nameless One in the maze of reflections and oh boy that was something I confronted them and At that moment I realized that practical, Good and paranoid incarnation were shaped by their environment and actions Good Incarnation was shaped by his regret and desire to atone for a crime so horrible the multiverse itself condemned him to the afterlife in blood war he wanted peace Practical incarnation was shaped by his end justifies the means mentality, by his obsession with The Transcendent One and above all by his lack of empathy and compassion his lack of empathy is evident in his actions and speech he enslaved Dak'kon for his blade, freed Morte for information, manipulated and got Deionarra killed so she can become a ghost and be his eyes and ears in a fortress of regrets and he also refers to The Transcendent One as adversary indicating that he sees no man in him but just a monster he needs to slay he wanted a victory Paranoid incarnation is shaped by fear and confusion he awoke in ring city surrounded by people who where blaming and insulting him so naturally he got scared and developed a paranoia hence destroying Practical's journal and altering the tomb on top of that Deionarra was hunting him (thanks Practical) and he learned about his earlier lives and since he does not remember them he said it was a lie and other incarnations were thieves in order to not die and not acually get taken over by a new incarnation he went to great lengths such as hiring a wizard to fix his memory problem and thus not cease to exist learning a dead language and after that killing the linguist so no more people will know the language and he can live peacefully in secrecy He wanted to live a carefree life he was a scared child I realized how deep their character is despite them appearing once or twice and I also realized at that moment that Current Incarnation is entirely defined by me and me alone when I Confronted Trio It was not The Nameless One who did it it was me this it the thing ONLY Planescape Torment pulled, in other rpg's it is not like that, in Fallout you play as the vault dweller in Dragon Age as the Grey Warden, in Arcanum as the Living one in short you play as a character while there it is you Directly no messenger between you and a game world and that is just FANTASTIC thank you must go to the dialogue system where sentence can be different you can say the same thing but lie or you can use clever wording for example you can say I want to see my companions or I want to see my friends simple but brilliant upon realizing this everything just clicked in my head just like narrative wise Nameless one Finley understood everything so did I this game is one of a kind thank you Black Isle
Am I the only one that didn't think the ending was sad or bad? The Nameless One had to pay for his sins. And once he saw he would be in a endless battle he seemed kind of glad lol.
It's because the whole point of the game is about how being afraid to face the future or the consequences of your actions is, in itself, a punishment. TNO was essentially trapped in limbo for who knows how many lifetimes, repeating his own steps over and over like Sisyphus rolling the boulder up the hill, only for it to roll back down again. By the end of the game, TNO accepts his burden, assumes responsibility for his actions, and as a result, can finally move forward with his life. What lies ahead may be suffering, may be an end, but it is closure. Remember always that without endings, there can be no beginnings.
The fate of the other companions is sad, not the Nameless One's. SPOILER AHEAD : As for the "good ending", being "One" again with the Transcendant, he indeed gets his sins back in his soul (while the metaphysic notion of transgression wouldn't totally apply in the case the sins were commited by previous incarnations). So yeah he deserves his fate, and is glad to face it... Anyway, his power is so mighty that he'll have some fun in Baator, or wherever he fights
I started to play it too recently, and realized that the music in the Brothel is Grace's theme. Somehow remembered a different tune. Perhaps from a previous incarnation :-) Brilliant game, though the word game doesn't express it well enough. " *Know* that there is nothing in all the Worlds that can stand against unity. When all *know* a single purpose, when all hands are guided by the same will, and all act with the same intent, the Planes themselves can be moved. "
"What can change the nature of Men?" I LOooOOOoOOVE THIS!!!!! Planescape Torment... is THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD FOR EVER!!!!!!! AND ITS THE BEST CREDITS SONG FOR EVER!
I'm looking for the theme of the Brothel of Slating Intellectual Lusts for ages. If anyone could upload it, that would be awesome. Respect for your collection "Morte: Hey Nordom, knock-knock. Nordom: Why do you persist in addressing me as a door? Morte: It's a joke, you stupid polygon! You're supposed to answer "Who's there?" Nordom: I know who is there. It is you. Why would I ask a question when I already know the answer? Morte: Just forget it. "
It's probably due to the vision statement that everything in PST had to be different compared to previous BIS games, though it's not like the whole soundtrack was like this. Perhaps it's part of the whole dusty visuals in PST, or maybe the composer was experimenting. Either way, it sounds awesome. :)
I was pretty depressed when I completed it for the first time. Not because the ending was sad, but because the game was over.
aaah the days when metal and fantasy were a most iconic duo!
This ending music somehow gives you hope.
I don't know how to describe this feeling properly.

This and Masquerade - Bloodlines credits songs are just... perfect
Not only
I’d like to read this game again sometime soon
If I had to entitle this piece, I'd go for "The nature of man".

while I Like the atmosphere, the characters, this was a good rpg worth playing but nothing that will make it the best like many claimed until I did not met past incarnations of The Nameless One in the maze of reflections and oh boy that was something
I confronted them and At that moment I realized that practical, Good and paranoid incarnation were shaped by their environment and actions
Good Incarnation was shaped by his regret and desire to atone for a crime so horrible the multiverse itself condemned him to the afterlife in blood war he wanted peace
Practical incarnation was shaped by his end justifies the means mentality, by his obsession with The Transcendent One and above all by his lack of empathy and compassion
his lack of empathy is evident in his actions and speech
he enslaved Dak'kon for his blade, freed Morte for information, manipulated and got Deionarra killed so she can become a ghost and be his eyes and ears in a fortress of regrets and he also refers to The Transcendent One as adversary indicating that he sees no man in him but just a monster he needs to slay he wanted a victory
Paranoid incarnation is shaped by fear and confusion
he awoke in ring city surrounded by people who where blaming and insulting him so naturally he got scared and developed a paranoia hence destroying Practical's journal and altering the tomb on top of that Deionarra was hunting him (thanks Practical) and he learned about his earlier lives and since he does not remember them he said it was a lie and other incarnations were thieves
in order to not die and not acually get taken over by a new incarnation he went to great lengths such as hiring a wizard to fix his memory problem and thus not cease to exist
learning a dead language and after that killing the linguist so no more people will know the language and he can live peacefully in secrecy
He wanted to live a carefree life
he was a scared child
I realized how deep their character is despite them appearing once or twice and I also realized at that moment that Current Incarnation is entirely defined by me and me alone when I Confronted Trio It was not The Nameless One who did it it was me this it the thing ONLY Planescape Torment pulled, in other rpg's it is not like that, in Fallout you play as the vault dweller in Dragon Age as the Grey Warden, in Arcanum as the Living one

well, he achieved internal peace in the end. he was ok with himself. so yeah, super good and happy ending imo

love the music. not really what you would expect from the ending but it does fit in with some of the scenes in the game I guess. and it sounds awesome
This was done by Richard Band I have the original cd to the soundtrack.
most BEAUTIFUL game ive ever played.

Does anybody know where I can get guitarpro file for this song??
I hate this song....if only because it signals that the game had to end...
