One thing i really like about Planescape, every stat , streangth, charisma, intelligence - especially intelligence - would make the gameply different. Different quests, different solutions. THe only other game were these Character values had such an impect was Fallout. But Planescape also had the development of your group members. God i love this game. It's just absolutly unique.
This very best game is reason why I still have my second old PC - almost 6 years old, where I still playing this super game! I think that some studio would make a remake of this game of tha games. Greatings from mortuary from Czech Republic
@ImpTom95 you are absolutely correct my friend , Planescape : Torment and Baldur's Gate will forever reside in my heart , the main character's soul is already part of me and will accompany me till the last breath of my life , i think it will be Deionarra's Theme that will play in my mind during my last moment
Because you will always have the choice to install old os (win95/98 mostly) + recent os have compatibily modes now which resolve about 70% of compatibility issues + you can buy old games on gog which are reworked for recent os compatibility. On my computer (Win7) I can run every old games.
''im not going to argue with you'' that is exactly what you are doing. And I dont understand why we could not share our opinions. Most computers have problem runing old games: its not about computer but operating system, and I agree with you that old games have issues with new os, that said, that does not mean that in the future you would not be able to play any old game on recent computers.
There's a lot of problems with dosbox. Certain games just don't work at all and many others have problems that take ages to fix. It can work it's just a lot of work for certain games.
The spiritual successor to Planescape torment is out , Torment: Tides of Numenera. Other recent CRPGs include Shadowrun returns series , Underrail and Age of decadence. Pillars of eternity 2 is also being crowd funded.
Baldur's Gate is similar, but it's lacking in story for the first game, so you're either going to have to trudge through it, or just manage with what little context the second gives you. Icewind Dale is solely focused on the combat, which is what I doubt anyone comes to Planescape for, so I'd avoid it. Fallout 1 and 2 are excellent games with similar levels of storytelling prowess, and equals in establishing atmosphere and tone. For some newer ones, you got Shadowrun Dragonfall. Avoid the first Shadowrun Returns game, it sucks ass, all the others are pretty darn neat. If you're going with Neverwinter, get the enhanced edition, and ignore the base campaign. Jump straight for Shadows of Undrentide, the base campaign is really long and boring, and if you'd like something even MORE modern, you could run with Fallout: New Vegas, which i'm sure people have already told you is good.
I bet, if you were that interested in playing more games of this genre, you had this figured out, but I'd add one more game to the list, aside ones already mentioned. I honestly don't know why do people hype over PoE. I have played it twice, never finished. It is dull and annoying with simple quests and tons absolutely unnecessary text. And this game is often brought over it's descendant - Tyranny. This game has it all: good combat, incredible lore and story plus mindblowing soundtrack. So if for some reason you were avoiding Tyranny, I encourage you to try it.
@BlesstheVampire you start from: in the future we will not be able to play those games on computers because they evolve fast (which is false). and now you say: the only purpose for old computer would be to run those games (that I agree). but then you speak of the XBOX and remake???
@BlesstheVampire lol? we wont be able to play this game in a few years??? what are you babling about?? Dude. Youll always be able to play this game on a computer.
the person who created this track deserves happiness. As does the person who wrote the great LP
This song is so chill. I just wanna sit in a dark corner in a bar, puff a hookah pipe, and watch demons argue with each other.
11 years later i see your comment. i agree. just found this and it's badass.
@@xhighone My thoughts exactly
Perfect for D&D sessions - thanks for uploading!!
This wasn't used? It's freaking BEAUTIFUL.
Ashley Coulter it is in the game. Smoldering corpse bar. not sure why the desc says unused.
Eden Gamer its not the smoldering corpse I can say this for 100%
was definitely in my game, I think I had downloaded some mods tho. Before the enhanced edition
No it's not better

Love this. Makes me feel so relaxed...
This is so relaxing and familiar, and yet I didn't remember it at all until I came back here. Welp, time to check out the other tracks.
The perfect song for smoking weed.
Great soundtrack to the best game ever.

Good music for a reading session, or for a thought experiment.

@D8141 you should try Vampire The Mascerade Bloodlines too. And Arcanum.
There's a lot of problems with dosbox. Certain games just don't work at all and many others have problems that take ages to fix. It can work it's just a lot of work for certain games.

but then you speak of the XBOX and remake???
@sloume I doubt it, Can you run Warcraft 1 on the correct FPS without problems on Windows 7? Highly doubtful since it's a DOS game.
@HandsomeDynamite uh, shit yeah.
@BlesstheVampire lol? we wont be able to play this game in a few years??? what are you babling about??
Dude. Youll always be able to play this game on a computer.
