Really crazy to know Resolve is only 21 years old. The game has been around longer than him yet it’s still something a young person would want to spend their time sinking their teeth into
3rd Strike is such an amazing game. Hugo is a D tier, and Urien is a B tier (Hugo wins). And here we have a professional tournament, and they're being used. It is such a well-rounded game.
Which part? To get the headbutt you need to fully charge it during the jump and then very briefly return the stick to neutral as you do the st.MP before inputting up for the headbutt
@@herrojason need to charge while jumping. When you do the smp you’re actually neutral on the stick and then you hold up to complete the headbutt cancel
There are 3 types of parry: - grey parry, when you press foward and keep pressing (less technical) - blue parry, when you press foward and release it (mighty be hard at the begining but you get used to it - medium technical) - red parry, when you are defending and press foward, very hard to execute, you only have like 2-3 frames to do it. (very technical) Then you get this red parry that Hayao did, he pressed backward > forward to perform a red parry, and 720º to perform Gigas, altought i guess he did buffer 360º first and then another 360º. This is very hard. But he play this game for more than 20 years. Performing a red parry will increase your grade at the end, so if you red parry in a round and stun the opponent, most likely you will get a B+ grade or above at the end of the match.
@@Rafaeorafa actually only two types of parries. The blue parries come out when you tap forward for high hitting moves or tapping down for low hitting moves. There’s always a risk to parrying attacks (except projectiles) since you don’t know if the move will be high, low, or if the opponent will throw you. You can also start parrying in the middle of a block string, such as a multiple hit move or a target combo. This is less risky because you already know the move that’s coming next, but more difficult to execute because you have to release blocking to tap forward or down to red parry. In the case of the video, Hayao saw the ex headbutt, which hits twice, and parried the second hit of the move. Since he parried that second hit out of his block string, the parry came out red. If Hayao blocked both hits, he would still be in block stun and he wouldn’t be able to punish, but since he red parried that second hit, it put him out of block stun and he was able to punish.
Thanks to both of you. I feel like I need to get several hours more on the game just to begin actually understanding all the concepts hahaha. Baby steps, right? Thanks again!
