I'd like to see these guys do this without that huge hole cut in the door. Working only from the interior side of the door makes this MUCH MORE difficult.
James we did it exactly as we would have done it with the door complete. We didn't take any shortcuts by going through the door. Through the door. The hall was actually cut so you could see what we were doing.

I have a '66 that I cannot get the front of the glass up high enough to meet with weather strip on the body, the back is fine, new reg, front stop out, but no matter what it will not roll up as high as the vent glass, it seems the glass frame is catching on the belt line weather strip and stopping it and I cant see a way around it... I wish you would do a build/adj video on these windows.....

Quick question - at 8:31 in this video I can see a woven/cloth sleeve cover over the lock to door latch rod. I have these on my '66 and they are dirty, torn and disgusting. I can't find anything like this in the Mustang restoration catalogs. Jeff - is there anything that can be used to replace these 'anti-rattle' covers on a nice restoration? Maybe an NPD item? (shameless plug to your sponsor?). Thanks in advance!

The situation escalated quickly and next thing I knew I’m gutting the door, greasing the tracks,new guide rollers, (new weather stripping everywhere!!), and having one heck of a time with that vent window. It's the gaping holes I'm worried about filling. Not sure a "rosette" weld is gonna cut it...

Do I have to take out the main glass before removing the vent window? I just need to replace the weather stripping in the vent window.
You may be able to get around the glass with the division bar and bracket. I'd try it. worth a shot.
Did you manage to remove it without taking out the main glass?

Can you remove that vent window with the door glass and window regulator intact?
You can but the glass drops over and make it a real bear to get the vent back in.
