I'm so very disappointed with mine!!
Servos were bad! Spent 40 bucks on new servos hit the ground once and cracked the canopy broke the fuselage and the tail!!!!! Pissed me off!!!! I since fixed it I'll see tomorrow if it will fly good? If not yank the servos and trash it or hang it in the garage.
Oh and people better tape the canopy or it will fly off on a good throw
And not carbon fiber fuselage it plastic or something

Nice. Looks like the mini versus and the cumulus popped out a little red baby! Any chance of the Versus 2 1.5m DLG coming back or being revamped? And what about your smartlipos they've been out of stock for a year? Those things are great or should I say 'were'.

nice plane. you might want to use the grass to land seeing the rudder get all scraped up or broken would not be good. plus beginners may think this is ok to use hard cement to land , it is not you will eventually break it and there's no reason that has to happen. take precautions fly and land over grass when there are no wheels or actual skid plates to land. other than that great job. i am lookin to get this but we want to put a single wheel center of the fuse and a wire skid for the tail then carbon pull release so we can pull it up using electric and gas truggys lol. thanks for posting and happy flying guys! ps you guys at hobbyking should do a new giveaway but make it airfare and tickets and a plane to the biggest r/c fly meet in the usa sponsored by hobbyking of course. and i would take 2 for the idea lol. seriously i would love this type of prize as it is the only way some of us could ever go.

It is a DLG - go crazy, try gliding it! ;o) It was impossible to see how it floated until nearly 4 mins into the video, and even then it was so windy it was difficult to see how it was doing. People buy these to try and catch thermals, not do aerobatics - DLGs are not well optimised for that.

I hear you. Wish we had more time. Only got the product with a few days to spare. Long Island doesn't have any slope spots. But reviewers have them and I'm sure they'll get the footage we wish we could have had.

Nice. We had a ton of fun with it. IF we'd had a windier day, theres no reason for us to believe it wouldn't glide well. If we get a better day for it, we'll go out again and put something up.

HobbyKing Live Sorry, but you still don't seem to understand... DLGs are not slope soarers, they are far too lightweight and fragile for most conditions on the slope. They are optimised to catch rising currents if warm air called thermals from the flat. To do that they need to be lightweight for good launching perf and thermal lung, but be quick enough with a nice flat glide to range a long way finding lift. These are the things buyers are looking to see in a DLG video. Wait for a nice calm, warm day then go out and try catching some thermals - it's addictive, and if you can show it performs well you will sell a heap of them.

Works only if you throw like a 12 yr girl. Mine went vertikal into the ground as the canopy came off during launch and ripped of the battery, even with a bit taped canopy. great waste of money.

First of all, for this model, you need a transmitter, a lipo baterry and a reciever, it's NOT plug and play, so stop false advertising, and second thing, don't try to fly it as a 3d plane, it's not made for that. And your knowledge about thermals is just awful, hobbyking needs a more professional team to review these kind of planes. Go back to your rc cars kiddo's ;)

That's what plug and play (PNP) is... you plug in a receiver, a battery, and then you're ready to go.

I think Jacob is right about PNP, but I would recommended to do thermal soaring on slope and wind DIRECT to you, and doing for fun and joke.

second part i agree with 100% but the first, no your completely wrong and that's why I dislike your comment you dense melon. PNP stands for "plug and play" they specify in the description of where you can buy it that it does not come with a transmitter, battery or receiver. that's what PNP is. if your gonna act like that, leave the hobby false knowledge leads beginners to have bad tendancies and that's the reason this hobby is so hard and expensive. please delete this comment. it really annoys us.
