Sears reminds me of Carmelita Jeter, a true power sprinter. Can't wait to see what times she'll drop this season, maybe even make the US team?
she will likely make that Us team ....for the relay or for a spot in the 100
I didn't notice it,but you are absolutely right. Big Jeter fan.
I don't think Jeter was clean.
@igloozoo3771 I have news for you mate, not many were. People used, to make it a level playing ground. Even Carl Lewis. Some got caught, some didnt. Doping is not a perfect science.Everybody thought Marion Jones was the real deal, and she was,but she git some bad advice from her first husband, who was a cheater. It's never been a perfect world in track and field.Athletes are still getting caught. But I'm still going to enjoy track and field. People cheat on their taxes, but that's okay.Have a great summer!
👍💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:00; WHAT THE HELL?! 😂 How strongly she finished that race also suggests that there's gonna be a lot of improvement to her current 22.45 (0.0) 200m PB!
Yes, her stats are not consistant with this 100.7.04., 22.45.
I am ok with her 7.04 but her time at 22.45 is not right
As a former runner it is not uncommon to see a sprinter pop off an out of this world time for them personally. I went to a small d3 school and we had a guy run a world lead 100m run. The remainder of the season wasn't even close. So I say hold your excitement for now. Let's see if she can consistently run these great times. That is the mark of a champion.
Well said.
Great point
Yeah, i notice many folks often run these super times before the major events and then they don't even make it to the finals...notice the bigger athletes shacarri, elain, shelly and those folks havent started their season yet? It's only important when it matters...That said, her form does look good if she can maintain it she can be a big impact.
True! She has to consistently run these times and do it when it matters
Hold your horses...ppl were saying the same things about Sha'Carri out of college and it didn't happen for two seasons. College is one thing but the pro track circuit is a grind.
Hoping for her to keep progressing this season into NCAAs, Sears for Gold !!!!
Jacious is obviously fast .but she is also pretty, funny and humble. Trials will be tough.
10.77 represents speed that SEARS.
SURE YA RIGHT!!!
Coach Rob predicted Jacious Sears performance months ago!! She was underperforming over the years based on where she was expected to be
LOL he probaly had charts and graphs predicting it!
Absolutely amazing.
@1:41 he had to skip over the better performances of Melissa Jefferson and Talitha Diggs to mention Abby Steiner... typical
exactly. SMH
Ouch I know he’s looking at winners of the various events but that’s not a good look
Shock is an understatement
she's got the Flo-Jo leg stretch going in the top end
The magic of an Olympic year. Everyone is trying to put it together to make the team.
He finally showed her some love
Love track and field Incredible Talents and An even more incredible community ❤
I loved how Sears ran past, or through, the finish line. Bolt used to drive me crazy with the way it looked like he shut it down just a little too early, or didn't reach down deeper for it. Maybe it was just me, but whenever he was blowing the field away he seemed to turn off the jets a little too early. It makes you wonder if he could have shaved just a little more off his amazing times with his world records when he was at his prime. He's still the best, so forgive me if it sounds like I'm picking on him.
Even shelly should've dipped when she ran that 10.6!
When your the fastest in the world and hold the world record there is nothing more to aim for. If he wasn’t the record holder maybe we would have seen him power through the line who knows
He ran through for his WRs even if he didn't for his gold medals
You simply can't compare one race to previous years' times and varying wind, track surfaces etc. It's apples and oranges. Forget the hype and just relay the race as it pertains to the year it is run.
In 40+ years of following track, Flo Jo was the 1st & only time I have seen a woman separate during the last 20-30 meters as though she was accelerating.
This is the 2nd time.
🤨
Love this channel
Great start!
OH MY!!! This Will Be a MAJOR IMPACT IN THE UPCOMING OLYMPICS👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️
Trials first.
Sha Carri, Julien, Shelly-Ann, Elaine, Shericka,Dina have all run way faster.
This Young Lady still has time to progress. So Who Knows Where she will be by time for Trials. I’m aware that is first but I also know her time is Already setting her in very good standings. She Will Add Pressure should she continue with her progress😃
She got that Christian Coleman gene with that rocket reaction to the gun.
hit the front around the 10m mark and never looked back, and as u said she was still accelerating and pulling away thru the tape, 4/10ths of a second is absolutely huge over such a short distance, i hope she does well
her coach is Duane Ross. hmmmmm. I hope she is clean
😵check the juice ....
Don’t worry she’s clean 🤨🤦🏾♀️
@@carlamarie72able I hope so, and would like to see her win gold at the olympics
She ran that race like prime Coleman just as a female
What are your thoughts on her making the Olympic team?
The front view shows superb technical sprinting. Beautiful arm action. Calm head and super leg lift. She will be hard to bear at the trials,
That torque she had off the line did it for her 👏👏👏
Lots of college athletes always have problems at the Olympics trials because they have taken part in some many races before the trials.
I think we should also talk about the 16 year old, Cynteria James, who went 11.25. That’s amazing!
Cynthia ran a wind lega 11.01 at the Weems Baskin invitation a few weeks ago.
She is 18 years old and a freshman in college.
@@Ghoster311 No she isn’t.. she’s born Sept 2007, that’s 16 years old.
@@rockyhill9833 That’s crazy, I hope she still has room to pb, judging she obviously still young!
@shyers__ wrong. She is a freshman at South Carolina with a birthday of 2005. Look up her bio there yourself. Or look up the results of the Tom Jones Invitational where she ran 11.25. She's listed as a freshman for South Carolina. Or look up her 11.01 and what jersey she is wearing.
How have you not done a video on Parker Valby’s 10k yet?
J. Sears made it to the U.S. 100m finals last year finishing in last place. If she runs 10.77 at U.S. trails this year only ONE sprinter can beat her.
I hope she makes the Olympics team.😊
Lets see that 200!!!!
USA 4x1 is insanely deep
The NCAA and colleges should adjust their schedules during Olympic years and reduce the number of meets to help athletes conserve!
Good God! She got game! She blew everyone out of water! Well, in her case, out of the field ! She is dynamic!
She was moving! Damn….
I had to check I didn't have the video sped up. wow
1:30 the victory was 3 tenths of a second (.33) not 4 tenths
A meaningful comparison of a single sprint event’s time with historical race performances requires consideration of the impact of wind conditions.
this is a fantastic time by Jacious Sears, I'm happy for her. She has been rock solid throughout her collegic career, and her consistancy seems to be paying off. this NCAA OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP will be one for the record books. keep track Jacious
This was very impressive. Ik my opinion though I still don’t have her winning NCAA championship
Perfection
The scary thing is - she made it look easy.
She actually look like she was trying hard, she didnt look relaxed...
Amazing.
She went off! 🚀
The Olympics will be EPIC this year...get some popcorn everybody!! Can't wait!!
What is the allowable wind tolerance? I forget. She freaking flew!
+2.0
@@Ghoster311 thanks!
That's awesome!🔥💖🎆🌋👑😀
Those strides were so strong, reminiscent of flo jos running
ik coach is more than just happy rn
Sears soars 🏃
Impressive - the olympics in Paris will be legendary. Only comment is that you can’t really compare to the world championships time as the wind was -0,2, and for Sears +1,6
Marion Jones is a hard one
Well.....Damn.
Carmelota Jeter 2.0
Sweet 🎉🎉🎉
I would argue her start was not the best of the field. She didnt start advancing (really rapidly) until about the fifth or sixth stride. It certainly didnt take long, but there is some room for improvement there - which makes her potential even more incredible.
Go Sears!!!
Lots if and more ifs, the remaining fact is that as good as her time was she didn't brake any records and there still women out there faster than her!.Those are FACTS and not ifs!
Reminds me of Flo Jo. 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️
When she the the Jamaican her foot started to Trimble
I believe she can definitely go far this season as of the Olympics we would just have to see if she has another race in her legs but I say she’ll get up to the semi finals as my guess if she makes it
Was this on tv?
Black chicks ROCK !!❤❤❤❤❤
"A literal light year". Ok then....
I didn't think anyone would get near to Sha'Carri's NCAA record for years yet. This looks extremely promising, but an Olympic medal is unlikely after a long NCAA season. Good luck to her though.
Good performance from here.
My favourite still remains to be Sha'Carri.
🎵 Its not unusual… get it?
Olympics for sure
A light year is a unit of distance, not time.
Good race.
For second.
"what the hell"
wow
I love to run 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😢😅😅😮😢😮😅
Watch out!!!
10.80 that was also, the 1st ever noted mens WR, like 100 or so years ago.
For once the title isn't overly clickbait.
Took you 3 days to post a video on this? Not good enough TRP!
It wasn't Abby Steiner...so no rush
When speaking about Sears’ place on all-time lists you only make Sears’ accomplishment smaller. If her place on the all-time lists doesn’t move up drastically or she at least dominates for a lengthy period of time, Sears will be forgotten relatively soon. Everyone celebrating Sears after just one meet that was not stacked with with other elite sprinters is not all that impressive. Let’s see how her season goes before we heap on undo praise. Sure, Sears is a decent sprinter, but she’s not at the elite level of the greats that are out there. We need to see more.
It wasn't a very good video recording, but she looked like she was running so hard, and she was so up on her toes...that she was almost falling over. Amazing run nonetheless... 🏅
Does the hair of most black women sprinters hinder the time a bit?? As far as I know their long hairs are wigs & could be a big heavy ..
Marion Jones still on the list athletics is soft on the athletes ,
Only her coaches can determine that many coaches believe that top foem can be held fir long periods, this is a myth, maximum 5 weeks is the period top form is sustainable at, so she will require some rest, so the subconcious can do it thing then she has to be trained timely the re=peak for the olympics, if the coaxh knows how to do this then i expect her to be there.
great comment! No athlete is at peak for extended periods. Both the body and CNs need to rest and reset. coaches should have planned deloads. That being said, this was a great race!
She would have ran faster if she had another runner that was in close proximity to challenge her.
She continues to progress, I have faith she Will TRIUMPH!!! 💯
You always make these comments about a single race. To say there was the possibility of podium finishes, doesn't take into account the rounds.
Let's see what happens over time.
You made a mistake for 2022 and 2019 for 2022 she would have got broze and 2019 a silver
👍🏿
She is not the fastest athlete. She is the fastest Women.
I hope it's not beginner's luck
No such thing as luck in this. But hope she's not peaking too early in the season.
Jacious should turn pro now. There's no reason for her to burn herself out by running collegiately.
Keep underestimating Julien Alfred of St. lucia.. You'll will put respect on her name, talking all that crap.. Don't forget she's the most decorated athlete in the NCCA ever
You somehow had to talk about your female lord and savior Abby 🤣🤣🤣
Did they drug test this competition?
First
steroid abuse is terrible for sport
pEDs are rampant
She is on some serious juice 😜
Liking your own comment doesn't make you right lol
@@TheHuskyK9she on juice for sure
@@Nile04467 we all know you trolls have done the tests ....behind the scenes . 😂
@@TheHuskyK9 true, it makes you pathetic
@@Nile04467Any proof of that?
Jacious? Really?
Wasteful video
