I definitely need help with consistency. The perfectionist in me has caused me to quit so many times!!! The idea of putting out a minimal viable product has also been helpful in overcoming this.

Can you possibly do a video geared toward people who have squandered a lot of life and now are waking g up at 45,55, 65...even 75 and just learning how to truly execute their goals? I am not minimizing the struggle of young people who were never taught how to achieve goals, but their is a special existential dread that accompanies older people when they are laden with this very real grief. Often our choices made 10,20,30 years ago are now snowballing into life in the present, and the shame or angst can be discouraging. Maybe reflect on how it woukd be if journalists woke up and were 60 years old and you HAD NOT accomplished what you did thus far, but were woken out of a deep sleep of passivity. How would you now want to be counseled? I myself am 52, and a somewhat positive outlook but can get trapped in the grief cycle of regrets and wasted life. But I also see those older than me nowhere near where I am, and it is sad. Please help us older folk, lol. I could sit here are write a list of hundreds if not thousands of things I want to do yet while I am alive and well.

This might be the perfect book for you! "It's Only Too Late If You Don't Start Now" by Barbara Sher. How has the year gone? Well, I hope!

As always, I love the practical/specifics and her mental/emotional “why?” explanations. I read in Please Understand Me II that Rationals (NTs in the Myers Briggs model) operate best on interval time periods. So, I started applying project management methods to my self/time management (total life integrated; not separating personal and professional activities). It has really helped me sustain motivation, be consistent, and accomplish more. For 2022, I’m actually only doing 3 quarters, with a one month respite between each quarter to tie up loose ends and have mental and physical unstructured time for play and exploration before I dive back into structured/measures goals pursuit again. (If I try to structure myself too much for too long, my soul rebels- so I’ve found this on/off season interval cadence to be the optimal balance.)

Wow. Loved hearing how you have learned to deal with low motivation and recognize the why behind it. I find this very helpful. Great job with video too. Thanks.

Thank you! Really needed this, thanks for your tips. My favourite is allowing yourself to do the bare minimum is better than nothing. It’s so true, I get bogged down by the non-existent “perfectionism”.

I really liked the 4hr workweek and your final point. What makes me feel overwhelmed and thus not get things done is the goal I set my self to work too much and to make something really good, in order to have value as a person. I’m gonna give this whole “recipe” a try. Thank you

love your content. this space is so dominated by men that it's refreshing to see a woman, since for me as a woman, it's more relatable.

@@praiseonosen7211 I agree! A full grown man commenting on a young girl’s video clearly just to make her feel bad (toxic af).

This is one of the best videos that I have watched that covers all the elements to be successful in what you want to achieve - thank you Alexis for breaking it down - some points I was already working on but I knew that I was missing other points to be consistently consistent - now I understand what has been missing for me and I am now applying what I now know and understand to be the solution...wonderful x
