The monarchy is mostly ceremonial and what very few powers the King has he requires the approval of the Canadian government to use them which he rarely does. His Majesty King Charles III is the Commander in Chief of the Canadian Armed Forces but it is the Governor General and the Prime Minister who are involved in the daily running of the Canadian Army. Again I ask: how would abolishing the monarchy make us any freer than we already are and what does it have to do with you personally on a daily basis?
