    Really impressive concept, research and committed care & creativity have gone into this historical treasure map of Bristol.
    Fascinating to see it in its former spacious glory and how its structure changed to serve a population density that, like most cities, has changed with the challenges of time

    As 50 year old Bristolian I was impressed by this. Shame a lot of brilliant True Bristol folk have been replaced by rich strangers from London. We are being milked for every penny. And soon I will have to pay to use the road to go to work. And sit for an hour to do 4 miles because the roads are being closed. I got 2 kids and a ton of tools I need to use a car. What a shame.🤔🤔

      Bristol really has gone downhill, I was shocked at how many abandoned shops in the centre and homeless folk there were. Don't get me wrong it's still a nice city but is being ruined by the government, council and mayor.

    • @levdup2330
      @levdup2330 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GrazzaD the abandoned shops are to do with online shopping and it's happening across the world.
      All cities including Bristol along with the residents must adapt, allow and accept change to naturally occur. Nothing stays the same.

    • @deedee-tc4fh
      @deedee-tc4fh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@levdup2330 I think you will find that rent and rates for pubs, shops and small business in most Towns and Cities have increased higher than inflation (unless you are a fake Charity shop) and Markets throughout the Country (the Heart) have been decimated again with ridiculous laws and high rents whilst the Supermarkets continue to expand. The corrupt Town Halls are a big part of the problem imo.

    I’m quite sad to see Colston statue missing, whilst I do totally understand the feelings of those who pulled it down, I feel there should have been a better way. Perhaps a notice describing an accurate history of the man and maybe a statue alongside of someone important in the struggle for Black rights. To be fair I don’t know if the protesters had previously tried to get something done and failed or perhaps they thought that nobody would listen or care. All politics aside, it’s a part of Bristol history for better or worse. I grew up near Bristol and lived there for some years, including living in St Pauls district for a couple of years,

    I grew up in Bristol from 1981-2018, just don't relate to it anymore its changed so much in the last 15+ years and not for the best. Moved 5 years ago and not really been back. It was great in the 1980's, 1990's and first half of the 2000's but just seems full of Londoners and been too gentrified.
