Prince has been hopping around for a couple of days now, right? If it doesn't clear up in a day or 2 more you'll need to get him checked out, the way he's acting it looks like he might have torn his CCL (Canine Cruciate Ligament, sort of the doggie equivalent of an ACL) and can't used his knee. It's not something that can heal itself if it's a full tear, you're better off getting it looked at sooner than later in case it's still in a state that it can be healed. My dog tore both of hers playing in the snow and by the time her surgeries were scheduled she'd taught herself to do most things with her weight on her front paws. He's not acting that hurt because dogs have no instinct to act like "I'm hurt," if they did that in the wild they would be seen as week and not able to keep up with the pack, possibly even become prey. He's likely hurting pretty bad if he hasn't really put his weight on his foot for a couple of days. The trike needs a clutch or torque converter like they use on a go cart. If steering really is that big an issue you might be better off driving only one wheel, though solid axle should be more fun if you can steer it. You might have to give up some of the rake in the steering if it stays solid axle.
hey 3dmachines, you should make that trike into a drift trike by putting slightly larger piece of PVC pipe on each of the tires to make the rear tires slide.

Took her to the vet because she kept limping after playing outside-not making a sound or fuss about it and turns out she tore all of her ligaments in her leg and the only thing keeping it together was the muscle there. Don't shrug off your dogs limp because it isn't whimpering, some dogs don't want to disappoint their owners.
If you want to be able to let go of the clutch handle when riding, go to a car junkyard and pick up a handbrake mechanism so it will lock up when you're riding and stay down when your not moving...
Use a lawnmower transmission it will help with the engine stalling when you pull clutch because of gearing and it will also give you a diff! Keep on barping Dalton and many others!
Check out a centrifugal clutch. It will allow the engine to idle and the clutch weights expand as you increase the rpms. They're not too expensive either.

Hook up the clutch to the right (front) brake handle so when you pull it, it goes. Then hook up the front brake cord to the rear brake handle so you'll still be able to use it.

Quick easy fix for the clutch would be put in a centrifuge chain drive clutch on there would eliminate your handle and you'd be able to stop and go with just your throttle you let off and it the clutch will release 15$ online
you should switch out the tensioner you put on with a cintrifical clutch or a tourqe converter it will make it not die if you tighten the belt and dont give it gas plus youll be able to go and do more awesome things on it
love the voids keep it up I think you should make a list of all your machines and then if they need it do a build series on each one with normal videos in between so that way you can have all the braaaap in the world
Add two batteries and truck starter motor or golf cart motor in place of the 5hp gasser. High torque, no clutch, no maintenance. If you wanted fancy part throttle action get a golf cart pwm motor controller.

I don't know if im right but on my go kart i have a centrifugal clutch and it works just fine.. it fits right on the shaft and a chain goes to the axle... maybe you could use that! Great vids man I am addicted to them ;)
spindle drive Go-Peds ain't got no clutch that's why they push start..... you can add a clutch to them but it's easier to just buy one of the chain drive models that already have a clutch
You should try switching the throttle to a twist throttle, and set the clutch up so you can you use it as a hand clutch like a dirt bike, or switch to a belt centrifugal clutch
Heres an idea for myself but i dont have the knowledge. I have a perfect condition 250cc fourwheeler motor that i want to mount in a electric golf cart to make it a gas powered golf cart. Wish i had Dalton here to help me and show me how to do it.

That bike is cool. can't you just get a centrifugal clutch and maybe a differential from a quad. Give it some lights and fenders and make the wheely bar removable.

On the trike: Spring load the clutch arm and link it to a foot pedal. So that it works kinda like a car's clutch.

you need a larger sprocket on the axle to lower the gear ratio. it will help your hand clutch work a little better.

you should use a brake cable to the clutch bar so when you pull the cable the clutch engages and you have control on a brake lever.
Take your dog to the vet my dog did the same thing and after a while he stopped walking and he ended up dying
