pass it to their breadbasket and hit him in the breadbasket - as my previous coach used to say, you hear the golden sound of them chucking up their mouthguard and if you feel it hit your back as you drive through then youve done the right thing
@@Hjjhhdh6ycue7096 Awesome statement dude AGREED!!!!!! Introducing people to rugby with biggest hits nonsense where a bunch of these hits would be red cards or actually were carded makes no sense. EISH THIS ME TARZAN nonsense???????
What happens when you get hit and go down? You cover the ball with your body, your teammate steps on you as he goes over the top, and you push the ball out. Then you limp for a minute to shake it off.
The part where u guys were like, that’s the Samoan dude, that blue Team was literally the Samoan international team lol,all the guys on The team could probably hit as hard as him 💯🇼🇸
At 3:40 the man on the right asks the big question 'what happens when the man hits the ground' . The game of rugby splits in to two completely different games at this point. Rugby ( what you see here) the ball is still in play and a dogpile for the ball takes place, who wins the ball keeps possession. In Rugby League (NRL) the play stops at the tackle , no battle for possession takes place, and each team gets 6 plays to get to the end zone, in effect the bridge sport between rugby and the NFL.
If you guys want to do more rugby vids you should definitely check out some Jonah Lomu highlights. He was the greatest player of all time and is still a national icon in New Zealand.
When the player goes to ground a ruck is initiated where the two teams compete for the ball on the floor. If you look the player getting hit always tries to push the ball back towards the scrum half who is the guy running to all the break downs to recycle the ball
A fan of you guys exploring new sports, because I know you will always say something contentious. "carrying it like a loaf of bread" 😂 That's the best way to protect the ball (not losing it in a tackle) "I don't like that pile up situation" It's called a ruck, teams are allowed to contend for possession once a player is tackled (but there's rules to it, for safety and fairness) Maybe watch a clip that explains how the game is played before other reactions to avoid the backlash like the football reactions
backlash against someone reacting to something they know nothing about for the reaction... That is the purpose of it, watching a video ahead of time would defeat the purpose.
Man I am so hyped for this. I played rugby all over the world, and played a little bit of American Football in University. Really love the similarities and the differences between the two sports. But in all honesty, the "they dont even have pads?!" arguments drives me mad, they get in the way so much when you're trying to hit someone, i'd honestly rather play football without the pads so you can tackle and move properly.
You should keep on making vids on other sports cause alot of TH-camrs start great on just soccer alone then they just fade away after time alongside the other reaction channels.
Try reacting to a Rugby Player. His name is Josua Tuisova from Fiji. This guy is a freak of nature, he is built like a truck and he runs through people like they are nothing.
Americans when they watch the rest of the world play rugby “omg they’re doing this wearing pads” the rest of the world watching American football “hahaha why tf r they wearing pads”
Just an fyi, in rugby you are not allowed to hit over the collar bone, your feet have to stay on the ground, and you need to wrap your arms around the opponent (very lenient with this last one). Also you aren't allowed to wear cups or any protective gear on your body, and when I played in college a mouth guard was optional hahaha not sure about pros. But that video that came up right after, you should definietly watch that next. You guys got a good sense of the power of these guys, but they also have a lot of finesse. Keep it up with the fuckin' bangers boys!
Rugby - football for men. I played when I was at school and at age 10 had some teeth kicked out and my tongue split. My PE teacher just said for me to spit out and get back in the scrum! Lol Check out Australian rules football!
You should react to Paolo Rossi, another world champion that passed away after Maradona, one of the greatest italian footballers ever, played for Juventus. He is the only footballer ever to have won world cup, balloon d'or and world cup best scorer the same year (in 1982). He is considered the hero of world cup 1982, scoring 6 goals in the 3 last games against the toughest opponents: hat-trick against one of the best Brazilian national teams ever (in an amazing 3-2 win), 2 goals against the best Poland ever (there were amazing players like Boniek) in the semi-finals, and the opening goal in the final against Germany. Without him Italy was not going anywhere, we werent even one of the favourites to win, so i think that it's worth enough for you to react to him. It would also be good to se someone to react to him, because its so easy to react to Maradona when you hear of his death, but no one reacted to Paolo Rossi, although he achieved nearly the same victories
Every now and again you get an American football player who knows how to tackle properly (eg Kam Chancellor or Ray Lewis) and they are *instantly the most badass player* in the NFL, but as a European it is shocking to see just how many players shut their eyes, put their heads down, and fling themselves in the vague direction of the ball carriers. This results in embarrassing missed tackles (eg the minneapolis miracle play) and horrific injuries (eg Ryan Shazier).
those aint setups that is how they move the ball across the field the only ways to move the ball forward is run it or kick it these hits right after they get the ball is not something that happens every play the pile ups as you called them happens because the defense is trying to force a turn over and the offense is trying to protect the ball is NOT dead when the ball carrier goes down Rugby is rough and fast with very little breaks for the players the ball is live unless the ref whistles the play dead or the ball goes out of bounds
Rugby isn't like American football with plays, timeouts and stops. it's basically continuous for two 40 minute halves, so if you're tackled, get back up and carry on. if your injured most of the time the physio will run onto the pitch while the game is still playing around them, if the injury is severe as a concussion etc then the game will pause for a second while he is taken off for a sub.
How long do you think a "tough" NFL player will stand on the rugby field with/without protection? A match lasts 80 minutes, in two rounds of 40 minutes and a break of 10 minutes.
The pile ups are called rucks. If you want to see what happens afterwards check out most entertaining 3 minutes of Rugby ever. th-cam.com/video/rkezdQ3sFwk/w-d-xo.html
Hate it when Americans keep sayin "his team mate set him him up to be tackled".... Obviously you people dont know the spirit of rugby. We players always want the ball. @@wayneG68 bro he was fast but he was also strong and elusive. He kinda reminded me of our very own Jonah Lomu in some ways. Much love from New Zealand my friend 🇳🇿
They aren't set ups as you call them. It's quite simply how the game is played, the ball can only be thrown backwards so the only way to go forward is to run with it, and unlike American football the game isn't stopped after each play, a big part of the game is gaining momentum which calls for quick passes and not being tackled with the ball, you suck in defenders while you have the ball and offload the ball to someone else to carry it on forward before you get tackled yourself and so on, obviously that's the ideal scenario. That's rugby basics and as a result when on defence you can often predict where the ball is going go end up and time your tackle for the moment the opposition receive the ball to stop their momentum and not allow the passes to be made. They're not set ups, just good defending, and this happens 10s of times in a game of rugby, its how the game is played. As for the the pile ups after a tackle its called a rook, after a tackle is made the game continues on and what you see is players from both teams trying to gain possession of the ball. A rook in itself has its own rules so whilst it looks chaotic its actually generally a well calculated play from both teams which whilst it might not look like it requires a lot of discipline so as not to cause a foul or concede a penalty. Rugby is only stopped for a foul or if the ball goes out of touch (ie. outside the field of play). So don't be fooled, these guys know what they're getting themselves into.
“You set him up”
yeah, we call it a hospital pass for a reason😂
6:09 we call that a hospital pass lol
Looks at the rules of Rugby and how it works. The “pile up” you don’t like is 100% necessary and most of the rough stuff is necessary.
