- Warren Denholm of Avspecs at Ardmore, Auckland, New Zealand describes rebuilding what was at the time, the only de Havilland Mosquito flying anywhere in the world. Test pilot Keith Skilling elsewhere (Flying the Mozzie) describes what it's like to fly the only airworthy de Havilland Mosquito in the world. Warren flew into Tauranga Airport in New Zealand with Keith Skilling and spoke to members of the Aviation Historic Society (NZ).
I absolutely love this WWII aircraft. These planes, in my opinion, the greatest plane of WII. I know the P 51, P47, Spitfire, Hurricane, F4U Corsair and P 38s were great planes but for some reason, this one is just fabulous to me. My opinion of course and we all have opinions like we have backsides so please no one reply telling me how stupid my opinion is. Great video. Thank you, publisher.

FANTASTIC I love listening to Warren, he's not just enthusiastic and knowledgeable. but explains things that even a plain old admirer of this great Air Plane, can understand.

In the 1970's, Air Classics magazine followed a "Mexican Mossie" on the roof of a Holiday Inn in Mexico City.

What an elegant aircraft
There is no other sound like a Merlin :) Only thing that can beat the sound of 1 Merlin is 2 , 4 , or 6 (battle of Britain flight ) Merlins
Fantastic and lucky for some!...the raid on the prison that is being talked about wasi in a movie called Mosquito Squadron.🎥.. i have seen this Mosquito over Wellington in 2012 and it is a beautiful plane.. thanks from Wgtn ✈️👍🇳🇿!

Great to hear how this restoration, (should that be re-build?), came about! I believe there are now more in the air, too, which is fantastic.
DId you hear what Mr. Denholm said there Mr. 'Boring Tractor'?? Rolls Royce Merlins built in the UK - not Packards hahaha!!!

@soaringtractor Oh Dear, Sore-ring Dragarse -- did you miss the bit at 7:22, where Warren says "all the interesting metal bits"?
Or, the bit at 7:00, where "the fuselage was completely broken"?
Besides, unlike some other aircraft restorers, Avspecs build aircraft that are DURABLE, and intended to give immense, lifelong Pleasure to the Multitudes -- totally unlike yourself.
