It’s weird hearing Jack talk truthfully about The Emoji Movie. I’m so used to his fake praise that got him invited to the premiere. 😂
What a crazy ass time 😂 I'll never forget the buildup to July 28th. That unboxing video with ALL that merch he got KILLED me
@@CalDiscsI remember when he got invited to the premier. Good times!
I rember when they sent him that box of promo merch lmao - it was a great time
Scott been going ham on the collabs. Also crazy but cool crossover. You basically collabed with 2 ogs back to back
Im pretty sure all these were bonus vids meant to be packed into his Scott branded flash drives, recorded a while ago.
@@FeiFongWangthis one is not! description would say so otherwise, plus its edited by sam, a recent addition to the team
@@FeiFongWangSome were, but this and the shesez collab weren't. You can tell by checking the description, the collabs made for the cards note they were made in 2022. Also the fact that Godzilla Minus 1 is featured on the Rotten Tomato front page in this as an "upcoming december movie" shows this was probably filmed around October or November.
@@FeiFongWangthat product hasn’t even been released yet
Lots of these (not this one from my knowledge) are from the trading cards
@@TaxeAndStuff I see, they're recent then. It's cool seeing Sam's work already though, these seem like good easy videos to get some editing practice in.
RottenTomatoes, the site that everyone agrees is bad when it comes to rating a movie's quality.
Unless it's a movie they love or hate, in which case the scores are accurate.
"iF tHe cRiTiCs sAy iT's bAd tHeN tHaT mEaNs iT's gOoD"
@@finixmoon127sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I really don't care what reviews are for movies anymore because a lot of the time I don't agree.
@@finixmoon127with a lot of films today? you can mock us if you want, but if the critics hate something theres a good chance its worth checking out.
@@darthgamer9861 Give me a few examples that aren’t Cuties and I’ll take you seriously
@Robospy1 if a score is 80, I think RT tends to be pretty accurate as to whether it's "good" or not. Anything in between is a maybe. So imo certified fresh/rotten is a pretty accurate metric.
But like distinguishing between like a 90% and 97% to me makes no difference.
The way Scott talks about film makes me realize I'd love a mainline STW episode on video game movies, or just movies in general tbh
Hopefully, one on video game movies! I wanna see Scott cover the og 90's super mario bros movie & the mortal kombat movies!!
@@thatonea-holenah, I want one on that babysitter movie that Scott Sam and Eric talked about in the champions road vid
Yeah, no, we don't though.
@@chad9166 yes we do lol
@lemonsmug yeah, no you don't. meatrider lol
I am so happy this crossover happened.
Also hearing Scott talk about movies instead of games was surprisingly refreshing.
Also also, Jack's and Scott's persobalities jump off of one another so well!
Thank you for this video, I am very happy watching this right now!
this crossover happened on jacks channel a while ago, maybe you didnt see it
oh really? didn't notice it. Can you give me a link?@@demi172
I love how Jack’s reasoning for why he thought the critics would be kind was the exact reason that they were mean.
Uncut Gems is the first time I've fully agreed with the Rotten Tomatoes critics, that movie is incredible idk how people hate it.
I appreciate sandlers acting but it just ain't my cup of tea, felt uncomfortable to watch in a bad way
I'm saying this as a huge Adam Sandler fan. Not all his movies are for me, this one and the week of, are not
@@benamisai-kham5892
Y’know, that’s completely fair!
Honestly too many people see Adam Sandler and then get upset when it’s not a comedy
I cant believe Scott is finally reuniting with Hector Andfriends after so long!
Must say I’m surprised they still hang out since Scott lied about having a throat that one time.
Now remember, that's not the name of show its just his name dammit
@@RobertEOSPEEDWAGON1I thought his name was Heck, Hell or even Mr F*ck
@fight_and_die1573 some call him "Stinky Stinky Mr Fu*k
@@fight_and_die1573 or as he rarely gets called, Stinky Stinky Mr. F*ck
thanks for ditching mario bros 93 to see cocaine bear scott 🙏 twas my first film project i worked on and i consider it a big win in life that the woz himself saw our work
Are you credited?
I know a lot of people who worked on it so that brought me joy too!
scott and jacks personalities bounce well off eachother good lord
Please do this again, Scott + Jack is such a great pairing for these sorts of collab vids
I absolutely love these collabs Scott has with other TH-camrs, + it's super cool listening to the conversations between these TH-camrs who you'd never expect to collab.
I feel like these two gentlemen could have a 9-hour conversation exclusively about animated movies from the early 00's.
Chronic film nerd here, the reason the critics score was not as high for The Whale was reasons around the way the characters (the daughter, since she was straight up evil without any real justification for how she was that way) and the way Brendan Frasier’s character was portrayed (the sound design made his body sound like a damn heavy vessel, and the meatball sub scene in general). Uncut gems’s critic score is so high because of the subverted expectation of Adam Sandler, and the fact that the Safdie Brothers’s do a great job of crafting high stress environments and characters (Good Time is great, highly recommend) and they give dense and substantial roles to actors that people wouldn’t see in those types of roles and non-actors as well. Critics love that type of shit.
Doesn't the daughter basically say she's bitter for ruining their family, and wasn't he like 700lbs? Wdym heavy vessel it was showing the darker side of people that size
I think critics just hate Brendan for no reason
without any justification ?! he completely abandoned his family!
@@akiraeatsguitarpicks491 no they don’t. His performance for the whale was unanimously praised, despite film’s reception
@@uranovayakilka2484 I’ve seen a ton critics dunk on him
i cant believe scott finally escaped his blue border in favor of a thinner red one
honestly kinda freaked me out at first but he's not giving in to his Nintendo Fanboy primal urges to discuss video game topics so maybe that's why.
to lay it on the line it's closing in on me
I was not expecting the amazing chemistry between these 2, i hope for more in the future
Nice to see Hector Andfriends in the Scottverse again!
Is that legendary TH-camr JJJacksfilms??
no its jjjohnsmovies
Glad to see Throats for Thoughts host Hector Andfriends collaborating with Scott
Love to see all of these connections between TH-camrs I love. Love to see you branching out and I think you make for a really good interviewer of sorts
If you do this again, keep in mind that from 2019 onwards, RT changed the way audience scores worked so that you have to verify with a ticket to post a review. So more modern films are going to have more generous audience scores because those reviewing it have to verify that they actually saw the movie. Meanwhile, older films were susceptile to some degree of review bombing.
6:14 can’t believe they did a inspector gadget reference! Bravo Scott!
Funniest comment I've seen in a while
Immediately activated me like a sleeper agent
My favorite fun fact about Darkened Skye is that not only does the original voice of Jasmine in Aladdin voice the main character, but one of the voice actors, Paul Wann, was also in the Zelda CD-i games.
scott talking about uncut gems is so fucking awesome (even if he didnt care for it), if you all like that movie or the safdie’s other movie good time please watch benny safdie’s new show called “the curse” that he co created with nathan fielder. maybe one of the best shows on television
Blows my mind that someone "wouldnt care for it" unless they're one of the kinds of people that is averse to constant tension and loudness etc. Totally understand if that's the case
Also seems harsh to call it divisive when it has a 4.0 on Letterboxd and IMDB has it at a 7.4
One of the greatest movies ever made
The Curse is the biggest you either get it or you don't series ever made. Episode one is the make or break point.
The Curse is one of the best shows I've watched, and it hasn't even reached the much-hyped finale yet. It definitely is the type of show where you either get it or you don't, in part of it being an extremely uncomfortable slow burn with no likable characters.
I was just catching up on The Curse before watching this! Nathan Fielder, Benny Safdie, and Emma Stone all together is the greatest thing I never would have thought of. What a show!
Scott was on to something at 20:40 because I was shown the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate factory at a sleepover as a child and all the kids had nightmares that night and were scarred for weeks from that movie. Due to the original, parents thought this was a "the kids'll love it" movie before they saw it for themselves
Yo it’s Stinky Stinky Mr. F***
Sam killed it yet again on the editing
Love seeing mention of CATCF 2005 even if the consensus between them seems to be that they weren't into it, Scott's comment on it being seen as just the mid 00s version of Wonka instead of a bastardisation of it is nice since I think it's pretty good imo, the dentist b-plot could be dropped though.
I love seeing Scott support small creators
Imma thank Sam (I’m guessing) for playing kh2 music during the chicken little talk cause that game is the most memory I have of the character
That's not KH2, it's the remake version of Beware the Forest Mushrooms from Super Mario RPG
Still Yoko Shimomura all the same, granted, but not Kingdom Hearts
In any case, it's an inverted situation for me where I have the actual Chicken Little movie on the mind pretty easily, but I frequently forget he's a summon in KH2, partly because he's one of the worst, and partly because I just never use summons
Wasn't expecting this collab at all
I mean Jack was in Borderline Forever. 🤷🏻♀️
Scott’s been in a couple Jacksfilms videos, too- a Kidz Bop quiz and YIAY LIVE, iirc.
I was. They've done multiple crossovers.
@@RawTEPM true still cool though
but they've collabed before
I'm glad Jack and Scott are collabing again. Can't wait for more.
this is a cursed crossover that i was not ready for lmfao
Dude as someone who's been in love with the Super Mario RPG '23 OST, playing Marrymore, Forest Maze and Tadpole Pond made me jam instantaneously!
Some of these collabs have been so awesome, thank you Scott.
This and the Metacritic video were so much fun to play alongside the videos, but man I am so terrible at movies compared to games. The highest difference between my guess and the answer for Metacritic was 10 (which happened twice), the highest difference between my guess and the answer for Rotten Tomatoes was 49 for critics and 35 for audience (which happened more often than not).
I find it funny to think of Scott and his friends constantly running in to a screen, only for 30 minutes later to come running out and then going to another screen to rinse and repeat funny. The staff at the cinema must have been so confused on what they were doing.
This is the collab of the century great way to end 2023 tonight, while driving through Chicago
Side note best Christmas Special is Emmit Otter’s Jug Band Christmas. Classic banger as the kids say.
6:13 I like to build Brown Bricks in Mario. Building Brown Bricks in Mario is the best thing and the most amount of fun you can have while playing a game.
I wasn’t expecting this collaboration at all! Happy new year!
same with me. to be 100% completely honest, this collab hit me outta nowhere
Scott has collaborated with JacksFilms before.
Love these collabs
Bro I wasn't expecting this collab at all but I'm here for it!
I really love Tenet I think it’s fun and cool to see the effects
6:14 "brown bricks"
Minecrap?
Crazy to see Hector Andfriends collaborating with Scott again after the Throats For Thoughts incident
No this content is nuts you are KILLING it
uncut gems is goated
My two favorite content creators of all time collaborate once again!!! AWESOME!!! 🎉🎉🎉 /g
When Scott moved in his chair at the end during the bloodfart lake portion, it actually sounded like someone ripped gas 😂
I'm convinced that The Whale has only one existing frame of it because every time I see this movie online it is only that shot of Brendan Frasier
You ever hear someone's opinion on something and think "I love this person. But I can never trust them again." That's how I felt about Scott's take on Space Jam 2. Space Jam 1 is nowhere near a great movie. But putting Space Jam 2 on the same level as the first feels so incredibly wrong.
This was very fun, would love to see a sequel to this video. I feel like there are many more fun guesses for this type of game.
Scott and his friends essentially made a demo disc of all the movies in cinemas that day.
Most expensive demo disc ever.
Next try to guess the age recommendations for movies on common sense media
The Power Rangers one was tragic, 'cause I thought it was a solid re-imagining for an aged-up OG audience. I actually really enjoyed it. I think the the audience score was so low because the "anti-woke" dumbasses got super pissy about Billy being black and autistic, and Trini being gay. (i.e. literally any representation of any kind.)
I can't believe Scott met the guy from Top 10 Farts
The Scott the Woz universe is expanding. First Schaffrillas, then James Rolfe, now JacksFilms? This is my dream come true!
Scott referencing Grandmas Boy: 😮
Scott’s opinion on Grandmas Boy: 😔
the one fresh review on daddy day camp is a 2/4 saying “what did you expect this movie to be” 💀. fucking hell
this is a crossover i never thought i'd get to see but one i adore
22:10 Growing up, it's interesting to learn more about 2000s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Like apparently Dahl's estate/daughter basically gave the movie their blessing and approved the "Wonka, the son of a dentist" change.
And it is more accurate that is needed Scott
The son of a dentist thing makes for good irony. And the subplot about Wonka's dad adds some actual substance to the story, since there's barely any real plot or stakes after Charlie gets the ticket in the book (it's still a good book but the movie improves upon the narrative itself imo).
I really wanna watch this video but the audio for Scott is soooo much louder than Jacks. I would need to turn down my volume manually every time Scott talks. PLEASE FIX THE AUDIO SO I CAN WATCH! this is the collab ive been waiting for! Dx
I love how proud Jack looked when Scott mentioned that he got invited to the Emoji Movie premiere
Inside Out and Wreck-It Ralph Combined Together and Fused Together and Mixed Together
Water World was one of the last big movies of its kind, with most of it being practical and full scale. They had to extend runways to fly bits of the set in!
No pun intended but it basically sank practical effects when it never made it's money back and the industry pushed CGI really hard.
It's easier to understand how a film like that cost hundreds of millions. Not so much when it's all done with an actor talking to a tennis ball on a stick....that's one expensive tennis ball...
I miss virgin Scott. He’s not the same I tell you!
:a what he fucked?!
The thing people need to realize is Rotten Tomatoes is an AGGREGATOR. A Movie could have 90% but average a 6.5 as a 6 or above is considered a passing grade, Metacritic is better.
Neither are that good, you can’t tell if you can enjoy something by the average of other people.
I want more movie rotten tomatoes collabs, with these 2.
I really love how they trash talked the illumination Grinch for having no impact and leaving public consciousness immediately, then kept talking up Wonka like it would when that movie had even less of a cultural presence.
I really like the TV Show and Movie critical videos, this is some great stuff, Scott.
6:14 gadget approved!
I grew up with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and that movie always made me severely uncomfortable. Johnny Dell’s Wonka was so unnerving to me. Then I saw the 1971 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory…absolutely wonderful!
my friend and I had a "bad movie summer" one year and it was glorious. we went to see every stupid comedy, no exceptions. just nothing but nut shots, party montages and Adam Devine. we were both going through it in life and it really brought our spirits up. highly recommended
The 1993 Super Mario Bros. Movie is totally underrated. I think the movie is pretty good. Doesn’t represent Mario well, but it’s so bizarre and even funny.
Chicken little for me indeed was just colourful and loud. I wasn't crazy about it, but there was a time me and my sister watched some other movie that was just awful and we knew chicken little was playing in the next screen so we just walked into that one instead. That memory is the entirety of my chicken little knowledge.
Damn, Scott's really collab'ing with anyone and everyone
First Scott talks about movies with Schaffrillas, and now he’s talking to an actual Films?? What’s the world coming to????
The reason Max was a separate app from HBO Max was so the company could get out of paying their employees, who received residuals every time shows were viewed on the *HBO* Max app.
iirc, Chicken Little _was_ a response to Shrek. They saw how successful it was, tried their own formula and it just didn’t work.
Also a little surprised no mention of The Room. I think that would be a hard one because “is it badly rated because it’s bad or is it somewhat decently rated because _it’s so bad it’s good?”_
Inside Out and Wreck-It Ralph Fused Together
At this point, I won't be suprised if Scott collabs with Coryxkenshin or even Jacksepticeye.
It has to be Scott’s goal to collaborate with every Jack on TH-cam.
I feel like Freddy Got Fingered is the kind of movie that will always deserve its own separate video lol
WHY DOES SCOTT KNOW EVERYONE
Adding in letterboxd scores to balance it out would have given more perspective 😭
Jacks prediction on the whale was the stupidest fuckin prediction 😂😂 loving the collabs scott!
This guy looks like famous TV host Hector Andfriends
scott has that elderly man to zoomer vibe
Nice of Scott to get some small time creators featured on his second channel
27:48 I hate this film but I must point out that his real name is 'Ace Cluck'.
At: 14:00
I love how Scoot already made his prediction and then pretended as if he didn't so he can adjust to Jacksfilms better insight of filmcritic zeitgeist.
jacks stash is really goin crazy with these uploads 🤯
Greatest crossover since that Ghostbusters cameo in Casper
I would have gone to the drive-in to see The Emoji Movie with you, Scott.
I went back to watch Chicken Little because of this video- it opens with the narrator saying he shouldn't begin the story by opening a child's storybook. This movie really is Disney being mad at Shrek!
ok i didn't get tenet either but like in a good way... like i was so confused and disoriented by it but i thought it was so cool and wanted to understand it so i watched it four times until i could kinda know what was going on and now it's one of my favorite nolan films lol
Inside Out + Wreck-It Ralph + The Lego Movie = The Emoji Movie
Follow-up idea: Scott and Jack rewatch the emoji movie
Man, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Chicken Little have such a special place in my heart for thr nostalgia, for context i was born in 2001
Sausage Party + Inside Out + Wreck-It Ralph + The Lego Movie = The Emoji Movie
