At this stage of the Competition, Snorlax shared the same selection pool with 50 other Pokemon including Raikou. CHEN having Snorlax in the 6th battle meant that there was a lot less chance of having the same Pokemon in the next battles. I probably would have put both of them in there manually in the semi-final and the final, but I didn't think about it at the time.
@@PokeRush415 Snorlax and Raikou/Zapdos are difficult Pokémon to take down in Gen 2 so I recommand at the very least adding them in most teams and then you can it mix it up. But it’s up to you. Everyone knows at the very least how annoying Snorlax is to take down in Gen 2.
@@bryanc1772 Snorlax is the main reason I pick Machamp especially as you know Snorlax has got good Special Defence. With the introduction of Cross Chop in Gen II it is easier to take down Snorlax, especially with Machamp with his high physical attack. Landing a critical with a Cross Chop from a Machamp will pretty much one hit K.O a Snorlax.
A lot of these Battles could use a bit more Snorlax and Raikous to keep things more difficult
