even i asked a friend of mine about the mileage of the Diesel Automatic .. its pretty low as my 9yrs old skoda laura diesel auto gives mirr mileage than this and there is only about 1kmpl difference to the petrol (real life not the stated values) so i am now going for the petrol auto coz it offers more features compared to the diesel auto thats thr best best.

You get push button start stop, ventilated front seats, AutoLink app connectivity, smart boot and 6 airbags along with that 1.6 litre petrol engine which is good on both power and efficiency. So taking into consideration the value for money factor, we suggest you to go for the Verna Petrol Automatic (comparing with the Verna Diesel Auto). Part B, the Petrol Automatic Verna gets a 6 speed torque converter as opposed to the CVT in the Honda City. the CVT doesn't give the driver a feel of the I-Vtec motor's full potential. Then again, the Hyundai Verna Petrol Automatic takes an edge over the City Petrol Automatic, due to the value for money factor, since Hyundai is giving you more for lesser price in the Verna Petrol Automatic. The city has always been a fantastic car due to its I-Vtec engine and the rear leg space, but the verna has beaten the city in terms of refinement, efficiency, comfort and value for money. So in both cases, Verna Petrol Automatic comes up on the top as a clear winner.
The company is claiming a mileage of 21.02 kmpl, however, we were pushing the car to its limits so we were nowhere close to the above mileage number... :P The 1.6 ltr CRDI is one gem of an engine. In terms of power and refinement. And if you drive it normally, then its very efficient too..

Verna diesel automatic comes in the SX trim so the push button start is not available in it..

I also observed this. Verna has 2 big disadvantages. First is space in the rear and not so good braking. Second point is common for most Hyundai cars.

Real Time Diesel Auto Mileage?
In chennai city traffic condition my verna Diesel AMT gives me 10 to 12km on highways 24km if the speed is less than 100km at over 100km 17 to 18km.
@@santhoshkrish i was planning to buy petrol auto top variant and convert it into CNG. Real Time Mileage of CNG Verna Auto is 25 km per kg.
