Thank you for sharing about your PMDD struggles. I suffer from it as well. I appreciate you bringing awareness to this debilitating disorder and for sharing tips. Also, thanks for always keeping it real! I love real people and detest fake people.
While I haven't ever been clinically diagnosed, I find that the really staggering lows I get before my period hits is pretty indicative that its likely PMDD. It makes me feel seen that there's at least someone talking about it so openly. Thank you! ♡
Fucking sneaks up on me every month too! How you have the energy to shop, prepare all this food and do your skincare is impressive. Pathological demand avoidance mixed with aunt flow means I'm just a whiny lump that does literally nothing for like 4 days.
POV: sitting on the couch watching this video on my period RIGHT after I rummaged through the fridge and pantry and came out with mango slices covered in Tajin, slices of cheese and a scoop of PB??? Why are we so chaotic!!!
Warm or hot foods help with the flow and lessen stagnation. For sugar vegan cookies are good as well as mangoes which also have potassium if you can’t tolerate bananas. Plantains are also beneficial too and black beans have good iron for beans. Try looking into vaginal-steaming post period to help with cramps and other symptoms for your next month, there may be a facilitator near you at it’s practices world wide. Korean spas sometimes offer it as well Keli Garza has an institute that you can look at for more information or practitioners in your area.
Same here with the Pmdd. After almost wanting to die last month I decided to go back on birth control. This is my first month but I had hardly any cramps, hardly any bleeding and just one day that I was really tired and sad/having negative thoughts. I quit birth control 6 years ago and Started having pms....wich I could menage. But the pmdd was getting just worse and worse. I ll have to wait what the pills are going to do but for now I am very hopefull.
I was cackling throughout this whole video. Thank you for this primo entertainment 😂 you also gave some really good practical tips too ofc so also ty for that ❤
My son had an accident today and to console him, I said that I had one today too. And he asked me what I meant. And I said, “day 2”. And he asked me what I meant again. And I said, “I can’t tell you!”
Candace, get your hormones checked. Also, eat foods really high in tryptophan when pms'ing. Since we don't suppliment our hormones with corpse flesh, we have to help our bodies with tryptophan & phytoestrogens. Thanks for the video.
The soy or soy milk around your moon phase can cause headaches, so you may want to omit that around your time. The salt and caffeine can cause cramping. More turmeric around that time with a touch of black pepper and a little oil can be used in place of pain meds, there are also turmeric or mint teas that can help too.
I love your videos , but is it really necessary for us , to know wich biological things are right now happening inside of your body ? I mean...such kind of things are personal and very intimate so it is very inapropriate to talk about this in public.
bought your cookbook , love the recipes, but I could sure have done without your form of cussing. Not ladylike at all. Will not be buying any more of your books if repeated.
The food you make -- as always -- looks really tasty! It is a fairly high-fat diet, though, which would not pass the Dr. Esselstyn or Dr. McDougall or Dr. Barnard standards Yes, you are eating some healthy fats, but it's fat nonetheless, and we need an extremely small amount of fat per day. And of course, those doctors would frown on the use of oils (yes, even everyone's beloved olive oil). Oh, and good luck getting the thumb's-up green light from Esselstyn when it comes to eating nuts. HA! Love your videos, however, and I wish you'd post more often. 😃

I love how this isn't the fast paced that I normally see you on. It's more intimate, felt like you were speaking directly to me. Lol
You look amazing w/ little or no make up. Younger, more relatable and your recipes always kicks butt. Much Love and Peace from Upstate NY
