Mate, this peeler is designed to use pushing away from you, sure it works this way but push away from you is where the joy is. It ejects the peel from the front.

This is going to be my second Victorinox!
When mine arrived I thought the box was empty it's so light yet very strong. I try to avoid using nice tools on potatoes and stuff because sand and grit can dull and scratch the tool or knife. Same thing with leeks. Never use a good knife because there is always sand inside. Don't harvest herbs or greens or anything either you will end up chipping your knife.
That thing works good , a bit small and handle would be nice . Happy Easter 🐣🐰🐇
Victorinox offers peelers with handles. Given the shape of this peeler, it fits perfectly in the hand, especially since the pressure that must be exerted is very, very low.
