Since my wife and I have never tried sushi (hard to believe I know) but your Izumi review looks interesting to us. We may try it and tell our waiter we are first timers and go with his recommendations. THANKS AGAIN
Fantastic! I'm so glad this review is helpful. If you've never had Sushi before, this is a good way to get introduced to it. Izumi does a fantastic job with their Sushi. In addition to asking for recommendations, you might also want to stick to the 'cooked' side of things too. Rolls that have tempura prepared items means they are cooked vs raw. I would highly recommend any of the rolls you saw in the review, they are delicious. Have an AMAZING time on your cruise!!!!
I’m going on first Royal Caribbean cruise ever on Symphony Of The Seas in Jan 2025. I purchased the unlimited dining package for my family of 4 and we have 3 others joining us with the package as well. I’m hearing mixed things on what you can order. Is everything unlimited? Can you get as many appetizers, sides, desserts and even entrees? I’m seeing a few people say you can only order 1 entree at chops. Not sure about the other places like hooked or Jamie Oliver’s. Before anyone says 1 entree is enough or plenty. That’s subjective to many people. People who say that also eat like baby birds lol. I’m also a bodybuilder. So I can eat, eat a lot and trained to eat lol.
Unlimited Dining simply means you can go to all of the venues, not unlimited food. 1 Entree is usually the rule with any dining package. You can usually have multiple appetizers and maybe multiple desserts, but it's usually just one entree per meal. Additional entrees will be additional charge. The terms and conditions are spelled out in the package so you should see it in there.

I’ve seen countless comments on Facebook, where people say the food is all unlimited. That they order multiple of everything even entrees. I’ve seen comments where people were told they can only order one entree but as much as everything else. I’ve also went on the website and searched all over the internet. There is no terms and conditions about this subject anywhere. People say they have called customer service and asked this question and said the rep could not give them an answer. Apparently it’s Russian roulette. You shoot your shot in hoping it is when you go or you find out they tell you that you can only get one entree.

Thank you for the specialties review. Will be on Harmony in 4 days and have 8 specialties booked including Chef's Table. Booked on a 14 night Oasis after that to Barcelona as a solo traveler and was a tad bit apprehensive, after seeing Playmaker's I am good!..Portside BBQ isn't bad either I think. Just glad to be back on an Oasis class ship. it has been 11 years already since Oasis class. Thrilled!

Question. We have the 3 night dining package and I see it says we are allowed 20.00 per day at playmakers, does that count against the 3 days of speciality dining?
I honestly don't know. You will have to check with Royal Caribbean when you board the ship. Or you can call them in advance. They change things so often with their packages, it's best to get the answers directly from them.
Thanks for the kind words! Cruise lines do an excellent job with many allergies including gluten-free foods. Your server at any of the restaurants will check for allergies at the beginning of each meal. In the Buffet and Food Halls you can request to speak with a chef to walk you through items that are gluten free if they are not clearly marked.
Hi Walter, enjoyed this video and great job again with your presentation. So far on Royal I've tried: Izumi Sushi, Giovanni's Kitchen, Chops, 150 Central Park, Wonderland, Jaime's Italian. Giovanni's is my favorite followed by Wonderland. The windjammer was better on some ships, but the worst was dinner on Harmony of the Seas. The food was cold and bland. I think I did hear you say you enjoy cooking? My wife and I also enjoy cooking, so I think that's why her and I can be hard on cruise food at times. One example, we had an absolutely terrible chili on Carnival once. I thought to myself, "I'm no chef, but I can do this so much better!" There is no excuse for such an easy dish to be done so poorly on a cruise ship.

The steaks, specifically ribeyes are not quaility. Expect Texas Roadhouse and not a fine dining steakhouse.

That's because the price changes with each cruise. It's based on your ship and itinerary. For us it was $245 but your mileage will vary.
