Wished I had all this in my barracks in 1968. We had the bare basics, wall locker, bunk, bathroom (which was shared with the next room.) In Vietnam 70-71 we had a plywood shack and concrete floor and had to walk to the latrine. The shack did keep the monsoon rain and sun off of us. Great video.
I lived on Minot airforce base from 1977 to 1985. I haven't been there for 39 years. My Dad was stationed there. It was colder than Ankorage Alaska. The nicest people I thought lived in Minot. But I don't miss the freezing weather. I like this hot Texas weather better.
Soooo.....I was there in 1987 and I PROMISE YOU...y'all have it GOOD! My dorm was actually OFF post, about 5 miles or so further than what used to be the airport. There was the old 91st Strategic Hospital and one male and one female dorm and a hanger for medical supplies. The End. I'm glad you have those beautifully built 2012 dorms! I'm so jelly, but so happy for y'all! :)
Jarod Berger Hey there. 1. Living on base is like a small city. Everything you need is on base. The chow hall, housing, your job, a gym, a dry cleaners, a barber shop and a grocery store are all in your very own "gated community" lol. You can come and go as you please, and the gyms are usually open 24-7 to accommodate the different schedules. So it's pretty simple. 2. Yes, you have free time. The quantity and regularity of your free time depends on your job though. Most jobs are 40 hour a week jobs from 7-3, 3-11, or 11-7. So anytime you aren't at work- you're on free time. Some jobs however will have you work 3 days consistently and have 3 days off. And then 2 days on and 2 days off. But the same with that- whenever you're not at work, you can do whatever you want. Fish, bowl, hunt, go to the mall, go to the club, a bar, chill out in your room, whatever. As long as it's not illegal, of course lol. 3. Well, I'm a maintainer, so I work a weird schedule, but here it is: I wake up around 9am. I make breakfast, get dressed, go to the gym around 10-11. Finish with the gym around 12. Go to my room, shower, eat lunch and then get on the computer and watch Netflix or check my channel. Then I'll grab my packed dinner and leave for work around 2:15-2:30 (I have to be there at 3, which means we have to be there at 2:45). I get to work.... I work. lol. I get off at 11, but I actually get off whenever my sergeants tell me I can leave. I get in my room around 12 midnight and I'll take a shower. I'll usually get on my computer for an hour or so before going to bed, and the next morning I'll wake up around 9 and start it all over again.

WildBlueYonder Do they pay for your Apartement? Or dorm rooms?
The pay for your dorms comes out of your BAH stipend, or Basic Allowance for Housing. If you lived off base, then you would receive BAH to pay for rent, but while on base, they take the whole of your BAH to pay for your dorm
WildBlueYonder Do officers receive some sort of special housing or do they use the regular housing? I'm thinking about joining the AFROTC so that I can join as an E5.
Big improvement from when I was in 1978-82. Single guys shared one small room with no kitchen and shared a communal dorm bathroom. It was a pain if your roommate worked a different shift as you were always waking each other up or trying to stay quiet while the other was sleeping. To have your own room with a bathroom, small kitchen and laundry is a real nice setup.
I was there 40 years ago and times they have changed, from Common Bathrooms to privet rooms with a Bath, and you can now cook in your room? we had to hide our cook ware LOL and no members of the opposite sex in the dorm ( I did not say room I said Dorm) or at least past the front hall, you have is sweet and am so glad they have made it so nice for you. I saw you were in FMS I was too (5TH FMS) was a Corrosion Control Specialist in the largest hanger on base which was fun the the Blizzards came through, we had to pull all the planes in and thaw them out, but then we got to go to the PUB ( The Airman's Club) and that was great enlisted or non-com that was the place to be, then make midnight meal at the chow hall the best food any were guess you can tell I have found memories of Minot and I hope you will too
I was at Minot From 97-99. I left FireFighter Tech School at GoodFellow AFB TX in July the temp was 100 degrees and when I got to Minot it was 40 degrees in the summer. Being from Jersey I thought I knew Cold, YEA OK BUDDY! You don't know Cold until you get Stationed at Minot. Just wait until that first Snow hits hahahaha! I lived at the Dorm right by the Burger King haha BK Big Fish saves you from Cabin fever Brother ... We got snowed in a lot so I was the King of John Madden NFL on the Play Station in the Dorm. Thanks for the Post! Brought back some good memories....... Fire Dawg Out!
I was at Minot in 1966, 5th FIS Weapons. we were loading sidewinders on 106's in case the Ruskies came over the pole. I guess we should have been looking out for UFOs. Dorms were ok, three men to a room , I was only there from July to November when I got orders for Nam. Damn I loved the Air Force, kinda wish I would of stayed in. I made Staff in three and a half.
I was at Minot from 1984-1992 doing Missile security. This dorm is not even close to what I had. First time in the dorms was two per room and a common bathroom for half the floor. The second time was after my divorce. One per room with a shared bathroom with the room next door. I had no complaints about minot AFB (except maybe the bone shattering cold!). Thanks for your service and remember Minot is what you make of it, not what others tell you it is!
I don't want to date myself but when I was at Minot in 1965 the concept of private rooms was new in the AF. The base was only a few years old and the Cold War was going on. Glad to see the young boys have it so nice now all we had was the long hall way and common bathrooms with 3 to a room.
I was Air Force 2000-2005. I loved getting everything better. I didn't realize it how well we had it until I started contracting with the Army in the Middle East. We literally have it the best!
So, You're at Why Not Minot? How do you like it? I heard back then that Minot was worst place to be at in CONUS. And Langley was the best. But that was awhile back then according to AF Times. And BTW, you did a real good job with the presentation. Nothing much had changed since I was in.
+kennyg64 Well I was, now I'm at Elmendorf. But yes, there does seem to be a negative connotation tied to Minot.. lol. I can see why some people don't like it but I didn't mind it much. It was decent in my opinion. Just cold as hell! haha
Well, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself there. And I heard that Elmendorf is pretty nice. I got in a long time ago. Actually I joined active in 84. First assignment was at Norton. They're closed now. But it was real decent. In 88, I went to Saudi for a year, Then I finished it off at Charleston until 94. Now, I've been doing military contracting off and on. I'm in Afg now. Well, good luck and hope you'll enjoy the rest of your tour and hopefully you'll make a carrer out of it. Take care.
@Christian Light you kind of get off. On Saturdays you still have PT, but you usually have less or no classes. On Sundays you have no PT, no classes, and the opportunity to go to church and get away from the dorms for a while
Cesar Perez Hi Cesar, if you have a GED, then you can still join. however, you'll also need to meet the following prerequisites: -65 on the ASVAB -15 semester hours of college credit -You must wait on a GED slot to open for you, which can sometimes take up to a year -You must be 18 years of age Good luck to you sir!
What dorm number is your dorm? Picturing it my head, 217 had to be torn down to fit yours it. It seems like it to me anyway, I could be wrong. When did you get to Minot ?
I was stationed at Minot, it was hard being an E4 and living in the dorm. Minot was hard in the 80’s. My family had to mail me me hair care products. I’m African American .
Brother, thank you for this video man. It helps me a lot of what to expect from the Air Force. I took the test and thank God I scored well with 78 and I've got a few stuff to take care off and get ready for my ship date to Texas. I could not be more excited to be a part of the military family. Thanks for your service brother.
Excuse what i said earlier about saying minot is a horrible base During the 1960s and 1970s, the vast majority of nuclear weapons in the United States were located in North Dakota. Minot Air Force Base was a major Strategic Air Command facility, hosting intercontinental ballistic missiles, bombers, and refueling planes. (In other words, everything you need to start the apocalypse.) Accordingly, had North Dakota seceded from the United States it would have become the third-largest nuclear power in the world. For people who appreciate history.. This base seems like a big part of it
How I got to your videos I really don't know, but I'm an Air Force Vet "Desert Storm" days and I'm loving all of your videos I will go back and thumbs up on all of them. Of course we didn't have anything like this as far as technology even being in the Comm Squadron. Don't get me wrong, we ALWAYS had it better then the other branches. We had our own dorm room but we shared a bathroom with the suite on the other side. LOL They called us the Chair Force. They were jealous. So proud of you! From the DMV also. Please go Overseas! You will appreciate the U.S. even more. When you get out, bring your knowledge and skills here to Capitol Hill! Enjoy your military career! There was a saying...Why not Minot?! But you will meet friends at every base. The funniest thing is when you go home for visits, people are doing the exact same things and you have seen and learned so much in such a little time. My 3 boys are in college but there's something about the military that I want them to experience as young men. There's something special about Veterans. We always look out for each other! Keep sharing your knowledge you are extremely informative; therefore, say SUBSCRIBE at the end of your messages! :) Signed MykidsmomVA. Your mother must be proud!
Luke Hudgens The only gym you have access to is one that you can only go to during your 4+ hour base liberties. Otherwise, no, you will only exercise during PT or in your dorms at night(even though you're not supposed to, ha)
How is it in minot? I always hear bad things about it but the same went for Keesler and I just had a friend come back from her tech school and she enjoyed it
UnderRestrains There's people who will find something to complain about, no matter what base they're stationed at. I've even met people who were stationed in Italy and they didn't like it! -___- But Minot is actually not that bad. It's cold as hell in the winter, but that's why they make coats. I like it here, I like the B-52 (the aircraft I work on) and I like the people I work with. It's up to you to find something about where you are that's fun and keeps you motivated. For me I have my TH-cam channel and volunteerism- for others it's fishing and hunting, etc. So, yes, if you wanna be a Debbie Downer, then yeah Minot is gonna suck, but for me I don't mind it at all.
It's been a year since you posted this but I think it's ironic that I'm also in the Air Force (tech school at vandenberg AFB) and my last name Simmons, I'm from Maryland, and I found out my first duty station is gonna be Minot!!
WildBlueYonder so I'm in tech school and I'm going to Minot around August. Now it says that I'm going to the 5 Aircraft Maint SQ FFK310... Is that the same building as you?
Did you have your parents ship you the xbox/laptop/tv etc, or did you just buy all that stuff new at your base. Was kind of unsure about how to go about all that at my first base.
+WildBlueYonder awesome thanks, I leave soon and was fairly curious about furnishing your place as far as TV/computer/gaming went. I have a custom built gaming PC gonna have to see if it's worth shipping to myself at my first base or to just buy a new one haha
first video on TH-cam of minot afb dorms good stuff bro! I looked everywhere for a video like this before I got stationed here after tech school keep it up man
+WildBlueYonder Minot looks clean, with modern development...unlike Clovis, NM (Cannon AFB's OK...but that town of Clovis-oh, NO!) BTW...my old-style AFSC 43171C would translate to today's 2A571...I guess! (as a 5-level, I had a "U" shredout that meant F/FB/EF-111 qualified crew chief-almost 40 years ago, but it was so ingrained in me I could probably still preflight, refuel and launch a jet-I miss the Aardvark.)
+Daniel Madera Yes you can leave base pretty much anytime you want. (very rarely are you restricted to base) and I keep my car in the parking lot outside of our dorms
FUCK! Your shit is WAAAAAAY better than the tiny boxes we get in the army (if we are lucky to not have the 50-man bays). It seems I joined the wrong branch lolol
Holy shit, those places are nice ! I was there from '81 to '85. Started out in one of the really old dorms, then in bldg 215, as you face the chowhall on the street, it was the first building to the left. I thought that was nice, newly built, but your building is FAR better. You have a BK on base ? We didn't, so it was usually the crappy chowhall or the bowling alley, because we didn't have any kitchen facility in the dorm. Pizza hut ( Barf ) delivered from town. Not complaining at all, mind you, glad you guys have these things. You need that serving at a base like Minot, with the horrible cold weather, and not the most exiting city to live near, and the boring country side. I don't know if its Been upgraded since, but even back then the best part of the base was the gym.
I was there in 87, and I don't know about the chow hall on base because we were about 15 miles down the highway at the old hospital off base, and our chow hall was IN that hospital. HOWEVER, I DO remember the bowling alley because that's where I went DAILY for lunch. They had the best wings and fries known to mankind! I think it was mostly in the sauce!
Haha I am remember when your dorm was being built. I was in dorm management working as the NCOIC of Maintenance. Man memories espically of why not Minot AFB.
I love Minot! I used to go to memorial middle school before I moved to Barksdale. Now I'm about to join the Air Force and start my own career! Can you tell me if that restraint by the movie theatre is still there? I forget what it was called..
WildBlueYonder what about if you join the Air Force reserves? how is it different? Also, Will I need my computer? Is there a place where you can buy Tv's and other stuff like that? Thanks
If you're in the reserves I don't think you'll be living in the dorms. You should be off base. And no you won't need a computer. But you can bring one or buy electronics from the BX on base, have one ordered or delivered, or shop at any store off base
Similar set up at Warren but I worked at a missile site 3 on, 3 off with a stand by every couple of months. You have your over washer/dryer stack, 2 burners, vent hood, your own bath, shower, no tub, but just a stand up shower. Pretty nice set up for single airmen, cable ready and Internet ready, but bought my own wi-fi; lot faster downloads.
1. Thanks for making the videos man, they are very helpful and informative. 2. Thank you for serving our country. Not sure if you get that a lot but thanks! 3. My real reason for commenting is my question, which is why so many airmen talk about minot as one of those bases you really don't want to be at? I know about these rumors because I have recently sworn in and leave for basic training for the Air Force in January and have heard many of the R.A.P. Airmen say this.
Allison Svien I got the same. Still at Sheppard at 65, graduated Comm/Nav 05 March. Still don’t have my sponsor, would be great if I can contact you and get some questions answered!
How old are you? And how old do you have to be to join the Air Force? I'm 14 and I have a dream of joining and flying fa-18's but I'm not sure how old you have to be.
+Michael Brynaert Not if you have a fiancé. Only if you have a wife, children, or claiming an adult that you are legally responsible for because they are unable to function by themselves. But fiancé's don't count as dependents. Gotta put a ring on it
Doug Espinosa keep THINKING that.... I was an airforce wife and because the airforce doctors and nurses lacked so much training, the horrible medical care caused me to go into labor at only 4mos pregnant, and had it not been for St Joseph's Unimed medical hospital (off base), there's no doubt that my baby would've died ON BASE by the hands of those military cunts shortly after delivery. If you're not a high ranking officer, they DO NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU & The spouses are treated like shit. Don't let these videos fool you. Most times these folks post these videos falsely advertising the military in an effort to lure in new recruits
In order to get internet/tv in your dorm room do you just call a provider to come in and install it? Would I just buy a wifi router and have it hooked up or would I have to do it myself?
Adriana B Good question, you just call a company of your choice and a provider will usually have employee's with base access. They'll come and do all the installation for you. And as far as wifi routers- you can either buy your own and plug it up or lease one from the provider and they'll hook it up for you
jeffrey marshall Heyyy-- I'm originally from D.C. but I moved to Southern Maryland when I was 13 and I just really like the flag haha. plus D.C.'s flag is kinda dry ha
I was there back in 2005 and I don't know if you've seen the older dorms or not but doesn't it seem a bit smaller than the old dorms? I lived in Dorm 211 across from the gas station. Plus all that white would drive me crazy like an insane asylum. Maybe if you had the curtains open it would have a different feel to me. Love the entrance and Pool Table Room. Was that one washer/dryer yours or for an entire floor? hahahaha I hope not! Good Luck to ya and thank you for your service.
Lou Jones My AFSC is pretty fun. We get to do exciting things on a daily basis and have to constantly problem solve and adapt and overcome to execute our mission. Maintenance, next to being a pilot or something, in my opinion is one of the best jobs in the Air Force (some people would disagree lol). My AFSC is 2A6X3 by the way
Hey man, how are the noise levels in the dorms? In other words, can you hear your neighbor through the walls if they are playing music or watching tv or something?
wait you said you can't own any weapons while active duty. Does that apply only for people living on base? So, for example, if i was to commission as a 2nd Lt, and live off base, would I be able to own handguns? And how about if I was to live on base, does that mean no weapons?
Wished I had all this in my barracks in 1968. We had the bare basics, wall locker, bunk, bathroom (which was shared with the next room.) In Vietnam 70-71 we had a plywood shack and concrete floor and had to walk to the latrine. The shack did keep the monsoon rain and sun off of us. Great video.

Yes! I remember that dorm. Those rooms were soooo small, and there was a bunk bed for two airmen to share and the communal bathroom shared by four.
My brother was from MD. And got sent to Minot. He hated it!
Danny Mueller Oh really? I don't mind it though

I was a tanker Crew Chief 5th O.M.S. ( Duh lol ) 81 to 85, and these new places are NICE !
I am shocked at what I'm seeing! You guys are living the life because Walter Reed Abrams Hall barracks were not like this. You guys have it made!
These are the new dorms... Not everyone gets to love in the new dorms plus... This is Minot... So don't complain
Marlita Benning Yeah, I need to make an updated video because now we have additional flatscreens, Playstation 3s and Xbox 360s!
+WildBlueYonder Wow you guys are spoiled!! So where does prior service stay?

0:57 right!!
This set up is light years away from the way it was back in the 60’s. Aren’t there any inspections? My God I would have loved this.
What is the 341
Hey, im a senior in high school and plan on going to the air force...thanks for all the great info and keep it up. *Thumbs up*
Planning? Start talking to a recruiter immediately as it takes a while to actually get into the Air Force!
Darius good on you brother you wont regret it
Dillon Cosnett i agree completely it took me 8 months to get bmt date.
Update?

-65 on the ASVAB
-15 semester hours of college credit
-You must wait on a GED slot to open for you, which can sometimes take up to a year
-You must be 18 years of age
Good luck to you sir!
***** WildBlueYonder thank you guys for the info, very much appreciated!
I swear the Air Force gets everything better !
I still love being in the Army tho lol
Simply CAS Haha go Air Force
fuck no. I love the army lol
GO AIR FORCE
This may be a dumb question but do you get the weekends off?

+Carolyn Pinder Thank you for your service and for watching my videos! I plan on going overseas before I get out. I'm hoping for Japan/ South Korea.
San Antonio ?
MACaveli 5 This is in Minot, North Dakota
I can see things have changed for the better was in 92 mss in 84 and 85. thanks for the videos
Did you need permission to upload this video??? Thinking about making one
Were are u located?
Is there a gym at BMT
Luke Hudgens The only gym you have access to is one that you can only go to during your 4+ hour base liberties. Otherwise, no, you will only exercise during PT or in your dorms at night(even though you're not supposed to, ha)
well, it is certainly better than my dorm here at Langley.
Is there a requirement for the beds? For example, do you need to have a comforter and all that or can someone be really minimalistic?
joncko In tech school you have to have some sort of comforter. Active Duty doesn't matter.
So, yes, if you wanna be a Debbie Downer, then yeah Minot is gonna suck, but for me I don't mind it at all.
do they do room inspections?
+Collin Ngeno Yes, we have dorm inspections
BACK IN THE MID 70S, MINOT WAS A SAC BASE AND WE HAD CAFI INSPECTIONS WHICH WERE A REAL PAIN IN THE ASS!!!
It's been a year since you posted this but I think it's ironic that I'm also in the Air Force (tech school at vandenberg AFB) and my last name Simmons, I'm from Maryland, and I found out my first duty station is gonna be Minot!!
bruhhhhh.. you graduated from tech school with the class ahead of me
+bgarrison8990 Are you egress?
+WildBlueYonder Yea. you graduated with Vincent and Victor. you marched our smu.
Haha oh awesome!
WildBlueYonder so I'm in tech school and I'm going to Minot around August. Now it says that I'm going to the 5 Aircraft Maint SQ FFK310... Is that the same building as you?
Ryan Bantigue I have no idea where that building is lol. But we will be at the same base! That's awesome
WildBlueYonder could you possibly check to see if the dorms at that building is at least new or not for me? Please bro
I think building 310 is your workplace, not your actual dorms. You'll find out what dorm room you're in when you arrive here- sorry man :/
Ryan Bantigue 5AMXS has a few different buildings; 130, 205, 218, and another one I can't remember off the top of my head.
im at dorm 218, this base isnt bad at all! im enjoying it
Are you still there!?
+Kamiya Kirkland Nope, not anymore :/
+WildBlueYonder make a new video of your new dorm
Agreed~!
Did you have your parents ship you the xbox/laptop/tv etc, or did you just buy all that stuff new at your base. Was kind of unsure about how to go about all that at my first base.
+runek12 I bought the Xbox at sheppard in tech school and I bought the TV at my duty base
I looked everywhere for a video like this before I got stationed here after tech school keep it up man
Is that fort sam Houston
addison lewis no
did you say Minot? i heard some bad stuff about that place (mostly being in the middle of no where and a tundra). do you like it?
Jacob Lennen It is in the middle of nowhere on a tundra.. lol. But it's not that bad
Hey Wild, a question from a fellow Minot occupant and Marylander. Where did you get the photo taken with the U.S and Maryland flags?
Ghostlord Hey! Well I got them back in high school when I was in JROTC. Also, Maryland flags are so sexy
Do you ever get to off base? Where do you keep your car?
+Daniel Madera Yes you can leave base pretty much anytime you want. (very rarely are you restricted to base) and I keep my car in the parking lot outside of our dorms
What if you have an electric car? Can you charge it on base?
They don't have charging stations at Minot.. I wouldn't drive an electric car in Minot anyways lol. But idk they might have it at other bases
How hard is it to get stationed at air bases in the northeast and in the western us?
It's all about what the Air Force needs. You can be stationed anywhere your job is available, it's all equal
How does transportation work? Can you drive your own car
Brandon Miraglia you can drive your own car.
assuming hes stationed there and not just in tech school
FUCK! Your shit is WAAAAAAY better than the tiny boxes we get in the army (if we are lucky to not have the 50-man bays). It seems I joined the wrong branch lolol
+Romar Dalauta Lol it seems as so
How long will your enlistment last?
+Pete Rojas 6 years
Holy shit, those places are nice !
PTIxSlIpKnOt Awesome! and I'm not sure what resuraunt you're talking about
Hey, question, during technical training could you petition to not live in the dorms and live in an apartment?
maries2cute Nope.
maries2cute Lol sorry.
WildBlueYonder Thanks that helps!
What do you do?
darren greenwood Aircrew Egress Systems
Hi I'm a 16 yo who is looking at military careers. What is it like living on base? Do you get free time? What is your daily schedule like?
which vlogging camera do you use??:)
+bbysong Cannon Powershot 320 HS 16.1 MP :)
awesome quality of video man!
how come you have a room to yourself?
Is your specific dorm room coed? Or do you only share your kitchen and common area with people of the same gender?
+Kat Vue You share your quad with the same gender, but the building as a whole is coed
Didn't know you were a roosterteeth fan nice!
Oh yeah!
WildBlueYonder if we wanna be fat let's hit BK 😂😂😂
Similar set up at Warren but I worked at a missile site 3 on, 3 off with a stand by every couple of months. You have your over washer/dryer stack, 2 burners, vent hood, your own bath, shower, no tub, but just a stand up shower. Pretty nice set up for single airmen, cable ready and Internet ready, but bought my own wi-fi; lot faster downloads.
I was a crew chief on B-52s in Minot from 2008 to 2010.
Just got orders from Lakenheath to Minot. Thanks for the dorms tour, they looks better than ours
Airmen say this.
broo I used to be a massive fan of Achievement Hunter lmao
I’m in tech school and got my orders saying I’m part of the 5th maintenance squadron as well!
Allison Svien I got the same. Still at Sheppard at 65, graduated Comm/Nav 05 March. Still don’t have my sponsor, would be great if I can contact you and get some questions answered!
Did you go to Sheppard for egress training? I recognize your background photo is a mural at the Sheppard SRC
+Nicholas Williams Yup, that's sort of an inside thing for those who went to Sheppard :p
341's in Tech school? wow things have changed. Enjoying your videos
You're at Minot? Rip
what do have to do to get cable TV
Just got here and in-processing with the 791st. Hope this goes by quick.
+WildBlueYonder what's the drinking age on base?
+Nadia Lovejoy March 2014
How old are you? And how old do you have to be to join the Air Force? I'm 14 and I have a dream of joining and flying fa-18's but I'm not sure how old you have to be.
+Jake Steele I'm 20 and you have to be 17 with parental consent, 18 without, to join the Air Force
I love ND thats the air force bases I'm gonna put on my dream list
So is there on base living if you have a fiancé or family?
+Michael Brynaert Not if you have a fiancé. Only if you have a wife, children, or claiming an adult that you are legally responsible for because they are unable to function by themselves. But fiancé's don't count as dependents. Gotta put a ring on it
I love your videos! They’re incredibly helpful.
I should have joined the Air Force. Y'all get taken care of when it comes to quality of life.
THE READ QUEEN your baby was born five months early?
I have a quick question for you, Yonder. Were you afforded the opportunity to choose whether or not to be in a single person dorm?
***** I was not- but most active duty dorms are single anyways. If anything you may have to share a bathroom with the person next to you
That sounds great. Thanks.
please don't tell me that all of the dorms have twin beds
+Gabryonna Hunt Yes they do
Is this you’re AIT station?
Are you active duty?
Trent Fogg Yes sir
I'm so excited, I sign my papers next week and graduate high school in less than a month. But my job selection sucks 😔
Annie Henderson You went army. Why?
In order to get internet/tv in your dorm room do you just call a provider to come in and install it? Would I just buy a wifi router and have it hooked up or would I have to do it myself?
Adriana B Good question, you just call a company of your choice and a provider will usually have employee's with base access. They'll come and do all the installation for you. And as far as wifi routers- you can either buy your own and plug it up or lease one from the provider and they'll hook it up for you
Maryland Stand up!!! What part are you from??? I'm from Baltimore..just swore into the AF Thursday
jeffrey marshall Heyyy-- I'm originally from D.C. but I moved to Southern Maryland when I was 13 and I just really like the flag haha. plus D.C.'s flag is kinda dry ha
WildBlueYonder from Silver Spring, Maryland. Ship out June 9th
Sweet- good luck man. Ft. Meade (where I guess you'll ship out) kinda sucks lol, but just be patient
Jacob Lennen im shipping out june 9th as well
ChrisSum USAF I may see you around. Shipping June 1st.
We get our own dorm for singles when we get to our PCS?
How do you get around base without transportation?
I go on tuesday... hows the dorms.? Will i have a roomate.? And are the floors boys and girls or just one sex.?
I was there back in 2005 and I don't know if you've seen the older dorms or not but doesn't it seem a bit smaller than the old dorms? I lived in Dorm 211 across from the gas station. Plus all that white would drive me crazy like an insane asylum. Maybe if you had the curtains open it would have a different feel to me. Love the entrance and Pool Table Room. Was that one washer/dryer yours or for an entire floor? hahahaha I hope not! Good Luck to ya and thank you for your service.
And I'm from Maryland to, where are you stationed
PF_ Sports Awesome, and I'm stationed in North Dakota
Cool man cool👍👍👍 i enjoyed watching all your videos
Thank you!
How do you like your AFSC? Like what are the hours like? And what do you do on a daily basis. Just curious.
Nice video. If you have your own laptop, does the base library have Wifi for your use?
