Maybe the reason why Pit Viper hasn't trademarked the glasses they make is because they're based on and pretty much identical to shooting eye protective glasses the US military issued in the 90's and early 2000's. In fact, the first batch of Pit Vipers were surplus military eyepro that they splattered paint on the frames and put their logo on.
You’d be correct. I actually have some of these. Black frames with dark green lenses. The old school army sand goggles had the same color scheme aswell.
The pit viper 2000s are a lot better quality, they are pretty much the premium line with a z87 protective rating which is a must for construction workers, and they feel AMAZING, I work in them all day and sometimes in really hot weather and they never slip off my face. The 2000s are definitely worth doing a review on.
Mine got dirty with sweat and dust at work. I used the micro cloth to wipe them off. After a few months, it rubber the cool blue coating off the glasses. I have the originals tho
Pretty sure they are rebranded military issued MSA ballistics safety glasses from the early 90s. You can snag new old stock from army surplus shops anywhere from 10-20 bucks
Ive got a pair of the White Outs from the 2000 model and just ordered some Double Wide Ronnie Macs. The 2000s are better quality. Sick shades that grew on me over time.
I got some a year ago, Original The Money Counters single wide, the lens wrapped around under the hinge, I bought some new ones recently, the EXACT same ones, and the lens does NOT wrap around under the hinge, the lens looks like the lens in the video, anyone know why??
My didn't last but a few months. I wore the on walks riding my bike, fishing, driving. I sweat a lot in the summer. The glasses get streaky with sweat. I used the micro fiber cloth to wipe them off. But after a few months, it rubbed the cool coating off the glasses. I've had cheap $20 dollars glasses last longer. Won't buy again

@@Howie262 where can I get these?
Why wouldn't they copyright their name or logo though?
@@tawmifmbc the original patent/design was not pit vipers. I’m shocked they have no royalties to pay lol
Pit Vipers remind me of the glasses Brett Hart used to wear in the mid-90s WWF.
Yup exactly what i thought and macho man .. i loved them
I kept the 3D glasses when I saw Avatar, knew they’d be in one day.
Lol

Pit vipers are a “copy” of a old military sunglass. So they can’t get a trademark/patent because they don’t have it
True. But do they also not own the trade Mark to the Pit Viper Name?
I’ve had 5 pairs and yet not a single pair have squeaked
weird i have got 3 pairs from there offical website and they all squeaked
Same. Leo's. Boomslang. Playmates. Carnivore and baha blasters all don't squeak for me

Still deciding if I should get the double wided or normal. Wish I could try them on to get a feel.
They have a piece of paper with the size of the originals, 2000s, and double wides that you can print out and see
I’m 12 and my vipers are double fits me good
These are pretty sick drips!!! I have the ‘Mystery’ style and love them!!!
Are those the single wides or double wides?
