    David Fulcher and Steve Atwater were my favorite safeties, Derrick Thomas, of course LT and Singletary were the best LBs. Great era to start up a football video game.

    The Houston Oilers passing game was unstoppable. They had 4 great receivers, swesome QB, a great hitting power line, and a decent running back. They also had a good D with Childress and Richard Johnson. I hated playing D against that team.

    The Niners were just unstoppable in this game (specially in the playoffs). -Montana's weapons were infinite in Rice, Taylor, Jones, Craig, Rathman. -And even if Montana went down you had Steve Young to run the show!
    -What was even more awesome is that it was EXACTLY like this in REAL LIFE for the 49ers back then... oh the good ole' days.

    • @dasparado

      Yes Houston and SF were basically cheat mode on offense.

    Darrell Green & Deion Sanders are missing. Also, Ozzie Newsome got snubbed in attributes and should've been on this list.

    LT is easily the most dominant player in the Tecmo games. Anyone who knows how to use him properly can stop ANY offense.

    Okoye's maximum speed is less than his running speed.

    The most blatant omission has to be Deion Sanders at DB. (I think he may have had 81 Quickness) No undeserving guys up there, but maybe split up CB and S?
    At any rate, lists like these never please everyone. Good work and nice presentation.

    No way. Fulcher was a maniac. Woodson would tackle in the endzone on kickoffs. I'd play with TB for the sole purpose of getting picks with Haddix.

    Funny how legends seem to grow with time. In the 1995 TSB 3 Final Edition when I unlocked all the hall of famers, Joe Montana's stats blew away everyone else's. In this game here's merely a first among equals (and probably underrated).

    QB Browns actually BARELY ranks higher than Dan Marino for the fifth spot, because of his max running speed, which is a critical stat for Tecmo QBs. Overall they're basically equal. Ole Browns just doesn't have Clayton, Duper, Jensen and Edmunds to throw to.

  • @suiminbusoku
    @suiminbusoku 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    3 part post. All and all a pretty solid list.
    Can't argue with the QBs (might've put Elway in in place of Moon as a pure QB, but Moon's supporting cast makes all the difference)
    RBs on the money.
    I agree that Sharpe should be in place of Drew Hill
    (always thought Givens was the top guy in the Oilers squad). Anthony Miller and Andre Reed def. honorable mentions.

    whast with barry sanders being slow on this game??

    • @dasparado
      @dasparado 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      He was pretty fast, second only to Bo. Sanders did not have all out speed, he was just incredibly elusive and hard to tackle. It was difficult to replicate that in the game. Bo was the fastest back in the NFL at the time, so they were pretty accurate.

    I gotta say I was impressed Bob Nelson was remembered. However, where's Fridge? He was powerful as hell, and you could do that NT dive with him as well. Loved Neal. He could block like a FB, run like a TB, and catch like a WR. I could put him at FB, Bailey at TB, and Muster at TB to seal off the edge on the toss sweep.

  • @suiminbusoku

    You could make DE and NT separate, but in either case, Jerry Ball was superior to Bob Nelson.
    It's sad what happened to Dennis Byrd, but NO WAY does he or Millard belong in there above Pat Swilling. BTW, they are at LB because TSB only allowed for a 3-4, so one down lineman of a 4-3 team would be shifted back) I recall Charles Haley also being a monster (that mighta been the SNES version though...)

    to prove this, try using Jets' Mcmillan....and then try Miami's Oliver...
    They both have the same RS, RP, MS, but Mcmillian has 81 quickness verses oliver's 56 quickness.
    You will notice NO diffence, "speed" wise.

      Different styles. Bo was just so explosive and fast. Barry was incredibly elusive and hard to tackle. If Bo did not get hurt early and play for more than half a season (which he still got 1000 years every year) he probably be the GOAT. As it is now, Barry is GOAT in my opinion. I had 3 posters on my wall as a kid - Bo, Barry, and Marino (Dolphins fan)
