    Glad i found this comparison, excellent! I prefer colder/day light so got the Compass
    Thanks!

      Glad it was helpful. Even though I usually like a warm tint I do like the compass R tint it kind of has a ever so slight blue to it which I like rather than a straight white. Very good I was using it last night in the woods still working great, just wish the price would come down!

      @@patrickroos739 AH no you have to be joking, I hate that! What have they changed there was nothing wrong with the first one.

      Version 7 2023 has more lumens and warmer light and fully charges in 3 hours and a little more. You have to test it against Armytek wizard C2 Pro warm light.

    Great video once again, I much prefer a warmer tint, it's easier on the eyes.
    Will you do a video on your overall favourite brands? If not do you have a top 3 or 5?
    Cheers

      If I get a break from the pile of lights I need to test I think you have a good idea there. I would say each brand seem to be best at certain things. Jetbeam make the best coatings. Armytek great drop and waterproof ratings, lumintop for build quality at a sensible price. Astrolux for cheap but usually impressive lights. Sofirn for being very cheap but quite effective. Fireflies for some crazy lumen output at a lower than premium price. I'm very interested to know what brands you like. I learn a hell of a lot from the comments of viewers.

      @@TrailTrek Thanks for your reply, I've got a couple of Zebralight's which I think are a decent build quality, also have some streamlight's and a few Olights, also great quality, but sourcing streamlight's in Australia isn't easy, Olights range is very small when compared to say Fenix or Nitecore. My favoutite keychain light is the Rovyvon Aurora A7, hasn't skipped a beat. Just trying to find a long run time high output headlight of decent build quality.
      Anyways keep up the good work.
      Cheers

      @@bb3636 Interesting, you know im still yet to test a Fenix they never reply when i ask them, the same with Zebralight. I have a rovyvon A8 in front of me now, im testing it against the new nitecore TIKI which looks almost identical.

    For the depth of the bezel, I was expecting the Armytek to be a lot spottier than the other one. They look roughly the same to me.

    • @TrailTrek
      @TrailTrek  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah it's very interesting to see the beams in action. I think the TIR on the armytek might be a better spreader of the light as it has more lumens to push. But of course then the battery lasts a shorter length of time. This is why I wanted to do this video the proof is always in the pudding. It's kind of a close thing exactly as you say.

    hello, is the wizard fitting into the headband of the compass? bands of armytek arent well made. thx.

    • @TrailTrek
      @TrailTrek  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You could do. I agree the armytek clip is the weak point I actually snapped it in one of my reviews and so asked them for a new one it took almost 2 month to get a replacement from them!

    • @TrailTrek
      @TrailTrek  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly, in fact all armytek need to do is offer a metal version on the head strap. I've wild camped with the armytek and bashed it about loss and it's still going.

      @@TrailTrek great mate! im also wildcamping, fire and stuff. lumonite offers no moonlight-mode and has only neutral and cold white light, its why i chose again the wizard. i find the lumonite to be the superior technology lamp, hope they change the forementioned shortcomings in the future.

      TrailTrek I came to that conclusion from my box which clearly shows a diagram on the side of the box. It clearly states impact resistance 5m. Then it says waterproof and submersible for 10m for 5 hours. Conflicting information. I wander if they have a different rating system in Australia. Either way. Great job. Thanks

      I notice this issue allot these days. I notice some info on site saying one thing then on boxes it can say other figures? It has to be safest to assume then it's 5 metres but I might email them and find out. I've dropped mine quite a bit and it seems pretty hard wearing so far. Thanks again mate, I hope you have a great day 👍😀.

      TrailTrek I agree. I love that armytek. Not a big fan of the complex UI. But nice comfortable light for long walks. The warm white is especially awesome. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻

      @@gadgetphilosophy8290 I know its over a year ago. I think you have the non Pro wizard. The pro you can drop from 10 meters and the non Pro is just 5 meters.
